BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.
If Kaine really hated anything, Kaine hated that noise.
he hated it so much that he didn't want to get out of bed. He grumbled to himself as he brought his hand out and slammed on the alarm clock to shut it off. He glanced up at the alarm clock to see that it read 7:30am, most mornings he tended to sleep in, after all he really wasn't a morning person by any means. The spider hero had a rough night and he needed all the sleep he could get. And not to mention he didn't want to look at his crummy one room apartment. It had a sleeping area and nearby there was a kitchen and an area where you could sit and watch tv. It was about a couple hundred feet long but it felt cramped in his opinion. But anyways, it was better than his old home in Oscorp, if he really could call it that.
"I hate mornings." He grumbled to himself. But the alarm clock wasn't what got him out of bed as he looked underneath his bed as he noticed something that most people would've ignored. "And I see I'm not the only one that's not a morning person." He said as he found a small looking spider that had hidden underneath his bed. Normally a girl probably would've screamed at it but he really didn't mind them. Not to mention he himself had spider powers, so he came to respect the tiny creatures. He looked at the black spider for a bit before putting it back under the bed so it'd be able to go back home. He quickly got dressed into civilian clothing, but underneath his shirt there was the spider costume he had with him just in case he needed to 'spring into action.'
He brought along his sun glasses so he could hide his eyes from the sun. Then he made himself a quick breakfast before heading out. "Well it's same old mexico as far as I can tell." He grumbled to himself, the older teen was in a bit of a grumpy mood that morning. But he wasn't exactly woken up in the kindest of way either. As he walked down one of the streets, he froze for a bit as he felt his spidey sense go off. This morning was going to be interesting as he had to figure out what was causing this awful pain. He couldn't even spend his mornings on the nicer side of things.
After hearing the siren sound, he quickly disappeared into the shadows to change. It didn't take long before a man escaped from the bank nearby that was robbed by a couple of goons that hadn't quite left just yet. The man headed towards the corner alleyway where Kaine was. He released his sharp stingers that came out of the palm of his hands. "Let's try this the easy way first. You'll release the bag of money you have or I'll cut off your limb the hard way. One...two..." Kaine was starting off on the count as he brought his stingers forward ready to bring a powerful blow. Though he was bluffing, he really could see the fear in the human's eyes as he believed the spider anti hero. He really didn't seem to care if he did things the 'right way' where he let the villains go without a scratch. He knew the world was mean and harsh since he had been locked up for more than five years. He only was taught that the world was mean and cruel, so what better way to treat everyone else. "Now are we going to get to three or not?" He asked as he lifted his stingers into the air preparing the threatening slash and the man quivered in his spot as he saw the size of the stingers.

A vacation was a rare thing for the likes of Hybrid, most especially since he was laying low from those who had once experimented upon him and SHIELD itself. He knew they wouldn't hesitate to make him come back when he had gone rogue, but right now he didn't feel like dealing with them. Which is why he had come to Mexico for the time being to try and unwind in his Scott Washington persona of which he often used. It still caused the combined Symbiotes to feel a shared sorrow for the loss of their host but they carried on his memory in this way. To some he was the hero Hybrid, or in some other eyes a villain. He was better described as both honestly. The last thing he truly expected though was to be facing crime there. Sure the place was stricken with crime, but he often felt it was not his place to interfere. Most often there were already heroes in a place that could handle something so when he heard the sirens he almost ignored them. The law enforcement could handle it. So he thought until he saw the man taking off, and at the moment the police were no where in sight which meant the man could get away. " We should be going after him!" Hybrid heard Riot hiss, hearing a faint agreement from the other three that made up his form. A small part of Hybrid though wasn't certain, at first but that was Lasher's main thoughts. After a moment of mental argument though it was decided they could at least slow him down. So "Scott" stepped back behind a dumpster, his form shifting and altering to his regular red and black, white clawed form before he took flight using the membrane-like wings. He glided across, startling people as he moved to the opposite alley to find someone else already threatening the man. " That's odd." Hybrid muttered, but noticed Kaine's stingers dangerously close to ready to strike the man. Alarmed by this, save for Riot and part of Phage, he quickly extended tendrils from his form to coil around Kaine's wrists and force them back while with his hand he shot a black and red web net to entangle the man who most likely would be screaming in horror. " What are you doing?! You don't need to kill someone to stop a robbery." Hybrid growled, showing at the moment no visible mouth, seeming to be a person within an organic-look skin tight suit. Though at the back of his mind he could feel Riot's and Phage's amusement at the irony of his words. Its not like he hadn't killed before to win an unnecessary fight but he tried to push that aside. It didn't take long for an attemption of other members of the super powered group to notice that the robbery was still going on. The siren blared at the bank and it wouldn't be long before others and the police enforcement to come. But they probably couldn't catch the criminals, they'd be long gone giving them enough time to get out and flee with tons of more money.
Kaine's eyes narrowed behind his mask and he wasn't at all amused by this as he looked back at the person responsible behind this. He was sick and tired of living behind the other spider heroes that were out there and it looked like he was going to live underneath another one. "What do you want punk? Can't you see I'm busy?" He asked knowing this probably wasn't a formal way of trying to interrogate someone but he was willing to strike Hybrid once he got even more on his nerves after this one. "I don't care what happens to him just that the money doesn't belong to him. And so enforcement is needed." He explained but as the other two super powered members were talking it seemed the human quickly dropped the money and fled before the others could try and stop him.
"There you happy he ran?" He grumbled. "Now let me go before I slice your tendrils off. I'm not in a good mood today."Scarlet said knowing that most of the time he really was in a bitter mood. But he had been taught that at a young age that life wasn't full of daisies and dandelions.
"Look if you want to help, I am pretty sure that there are other members who are going to come out and try to escape with other bags of money. It looks like what he got hardly has any at all. Only a couple of thousand of dollars." Kaine observed seeing that the bag that the man dropped hardly had much weight to it. They probably divided it up before they were on the run and this was only the beginning of a long day. He really wondered if Hybrid was a good guy or not, and like him they had something in common, they were both freaks.

"I may not be a saint kid, but at least I know a common thug isn't worth killing. You're wasting your time if that's what you do all day." Hybrid retorted, no where near amused either but he had enough moral to know when there was such a thing as going too far and this was one of those times. He didn't know this hero much less really didn't care to know him, but he wasn't going to let him get away with murder or mutilating someone over a robbery.
But he did realize Kaine was right, there were others and he could hear them getting ready to leave. "Fine, you want to prevent him escaping go after him. I can handle a few street thugs looking for spare change." Hybrid growled, leaping onto the roof of the nearest building and moving to crouch to see a better vantage point. In the back of his mind he could hear the four symbiotes arguing over what to do but he quickly squashed their mental argument to get them to focus at the task at hand. Sometimes having four personalities in your head didn't help and could be quite distracting but he managed to get them to focus long enough to know this could be handled quickly.
Seeing them finally showing themselves, Hybrid didn't hesitate to fire his own seemingly organic webbing to trap the men right to the sidewalk, causing civilians to stop and stare in surprise. The demonic creature they saw stood and seemed to scream in terror and take off, but Hybrid didn't get a chance to show he was on their side before he saw the police arriving and he quickly moved back to the alley to avoid capture.

"I don't do it all day." Kaine retorted with a grumble underneath his breath. Once Hybrid was gone, Kaine quickly swung his way towards the bank as well as he used his webbing to get there as fast as he could. He could hear the police starting to arrive as he arrived at the same time. He jumped on to the site of the building finding an entrance door that the grunt had escaped through. Once in the gun fire quickly started on his way as he began to dodge the on coming attacks, and brought his foot down to swing at one of the goons. It knocked him unconscious almost instantly before he fell to the ground. "You're one of those spidey men right?" The other one said with a surprised sound on his voice.
"I don't boast but you are right." Kaine said but while he had his guard down the guard quickly swung hard down on his head towards the super powered vigilante as he tried to knock him out and it hurt quite a bit. Kaine rubbed his head a bit but before he could get a second swing, he sent out his webbing to try and tie him up and it worked. "I don't play games like you fools." He said as he strung up the guard before he could get away. Yet his head ached quite a bit from the last swing.
As Kaine glanced out side he quickly saw that Hybrid caught a few more of them as he went out to go see where the symbiotes went. "Great that guy probably got scared off by the police." He said with an observation. This time he could see the blue flashing lights going on as the police had stepped in, maybe it was better that he got out of there like Hybrid. And at this point, he realized he was possibly once again alone. "And I'm alone too." He said but before he could get away through the shadows he heard a familiar, "Freeze!" He froze as he realized that the police caught him dead in his tracks, and this wasn't going to end well. "Uh-oh." He said to himself, half wondering if the Police were accusing him of being a part of the robbery. Well, hopefully they'd believe him and figure out that he didn't steal anything...at least that was the hope.

Hybrid stayed in the shadows of the alley, watching as the police arrived and sunk closer to the wall. He really wanted to avoid having international problems since he was technically not a hero there for this part of the world. He still was located in the United States and happened to be there for a break away from this sort of thing, not that it usually worked to his favor. Becoming a hero had left him in a state of having to face issues normally most others would not. But then again when was he actually ever normal? Since coming to this planet things had been very different, the outcome had not been what the combined symbiotes had set out to do and now here they were.
But he watched with surprise as Kaine not only got caught by the police but found himself at gunpoint. He had been gun hoe to go after the thug that got away but now he was cooperating? Hybrid didn't quite understand the motives of the man much less what he was. Was he a good guy with anger problems or a villain that happened to be going after some thugs tramping in his territory? It was difficult to say, especially since Hybrid didn't know he could be called an anti-hero either. The meanings sometimes tended to get muddle din his opinion.
Still, he couldn't leave Kaine to be wrongly arrested and a part of him was mentally kicking himself for acting. He was annoyed and frustrated how things had gone and with no hesitation the red of his form turned yellow as his Phage persona took over, making him black and yellow in color as he fired his webbing and swung forward. Holding on with one hand he turned his free one into a blade that sliced through the barrels of the guns on the officers who seemed startled by the sudden arrival before Hybrid let go of the webbing and fired at another building as he turned to swing back around once more. This time he took the chance for the shock on the officers' faces to turn his hand back to normal and grab Kaine without waiting to hear him protest or say anything else.
Pulling up towards the building Hybrid landed on the roof before dropping Kaine unceremoniously to the roof as well, "I don't get it with you kid, and quite frankly I don't care to. But that was stupid just to stand there when you have an opening to run still. You're not always gonna catch all the thugs." Hybrid growled, his tone now having a hiss and a slight rasp to it compared to before.

Kaine was annoyed mostly at himself for getting caught like that. Sure he had only been in the business of being a vigilante for some time by now, but even other super heroes wouldn't have let them be caught by the gunfire or the police. But before Kaine could do anything Hybrid caught him around the waste and pulled him forward away from the other police men before they could get them. He brushed himself off knowing that he was probably covered with dirt and such.
"Look I know I messed up but whatever. I owe you one for saving me back there. A like for a like." Kaine said rather bluntly. "And to put it straight I'm a vigilante not a super hero." Kaine explained. But it was only then did he notice while they were safe from the danger that was about to come, he realized that his spidey sense hadn't gone off or really reacted when it should have. It usually was able to tell when the danger was about to strike, but maybe he had been safe thanks to Hybrid. One of these days he may as well have to return the favor, as much as he thought the guy was strange, he had similar powers to his own. Then again, Hybrid probably thought he was strange as well. He felt an awkward tension raise in the air but he knew that may as well happen to anyone.
"Well...on that happy note...." He said half wondering if there was anything else they could do. Despite the shocked look from the police they seemed to be taking care of it right now. Maybe if they had the right experience things would've gone better. It was true he wasn't experienced like Captain America, or any of those other heroes. But he had a feeling things would get better if he learned the super hero way things could get better. On the other hand, he was a loner, and would probably stay that way until something interested him for a team.

"Hero, vigilante, anti-hero, what does it matter. The terms muddle together to us, they are the same thing to some and to others categorized in a way to make themselves feel...important." Phage said in his raspy hiss like voice, expressing what all four of the combined symbiotes were thinking. Quite frankly, they didn't care who was what, they followed their own paths, their own forms of justice and sometimes they seemed to fall somewhere in the spectrum of hero to villain to anti-hero.
Once more Phage snorted at Kaine's words, "You owe us nothing little spider. I held back from actually doing any harm to the police, if it was Riot this would be another story." Phage grumbled, crossing his arms as he looked back towards the scene. He could see the police getting the thugs they had either knocked out or webbed up, having to pry at the webbing carefully or giving it a few strong tugs before it came free. His lasted longer than most but would eventually fade away to nothing. Honestly he didn't even know why he bothered helping Kaine when he hadn't wanted the help in the beginning but Phage and the other three had decided to step in anyway since it had been a unanimous decision on their part.
Finally though Phage gave up control to the more dominant combined person, allowing Hybrid to take on his usual red and black skinned appearance before he turned back to Kaine. "But I suppose I might as well introduce myself at the very least. My name is Hybrid, you could say I have a little bit of...everything to me." Hybrid introduced himself, holding out his clawed hand to Kaine to shake if he wanted but it was half hearted since he had a feeling Kaine probably could careless for a handshake.

“Well then we at least have something in common. Before I came out here I nearly went and tried to kill my captives, but I thought better than that since I realized I’d just be like the low lives like them.” Scarlet said as he crossed his arms again as he looked up at the sky. The sun was well over head and would probably turn to mid afternoon at any moment from the looks of it. Then his masked covered eyes went down to where the scene was going on. The police were taking care of the dirty work with trying and bringing the thugs into the car. And they made a big mistake for thinking that he was the one who had stolen the money, who knew that the authorities had such a dark side to them like that?
He listened to Hybrid as he gave out his name, introducing himself. Like Kaine he had been out by himself with no team to tell him what to do. And then he saw that he had another thing in common with the odd spider like man. “It’s nice to meet you Hybrid in this unusual situation.” Kaine explained. But he figured at this point it was better to give him the name he was more, and well known by: Scarlet Spider. “I go by the name Scarlet Spider.” He said with a sigh as he inhaled heavily. The fresh air on his lungs felt good instead of being cramped up in his crummy looking apartment. It was in sorry shape and he felt as if getting out of it was probably the better way to go.
“And if you want I was going to search the city to see if anything else is going on here. So far the bank almost being robbed was one of them. But Mexico seems to have plenty of violence and crime on these streets so something has got to happen by this evening.” Kaine offered. “You can come with me.” He said. But the last sentence felt funny in his mouth he really hadn’t teamed up with anyone and was used to doing solo missions on his own. So going out of his way to try and team up felt…strange. You could say for certain that it was out of his comfort zone.

"Sometimes parts of myself don't mind killing, I think all of us don't to a point. But two of us have more self-control than the other two, so we can understand the struggle." Hybrid admitted, expressing the "we" in the form of hinting that he wasn't what he appeared to be. Unlike Kaine he was not a man in a suit or hiding behind a mask, not anymore at the least. Once they had been one with a regular human being who had helped them and in return they sought him out to help but soon lost him while a SHIELD agent for a short time. The loss still stung and it was hard not to tell the full truth of who he really was.
"Scarlet Spider...suppose it's fitting, scarlet really seems to bring out your eyes." It was Hybrid's terrible attempt at a joke but he simply shook his head. "Suppose though in all honesty it could have been worse, Scarlet Spider. These things...sometimes we get caught up in them ourselves so I wouldn't take the fact the police got you in their crosshairs too bad. Mexico has a bad rep with their policia being corrupt and sometimes untrustworthy." Hybrid admitted having done research on Earth over time had come to learn even authority could be corrupt and this likely was the case here or happened to be chance they thought he was helping the thugs instead.
The offer for him to patrol with the spider anti-hero was a bit of a surprise, visibly seen on Hybrid's face but he shook his head thinking he his stay was over done by now. "I think I've done enough here. Mexico isn't my jurisdiction so I'll pass, but thanks for the offer." Hybrid said as he turned away, looking towards the sky for a moment before letting out the membrane-like wings to show on his back. "If you're ever in the states and happen to be in Los Angeles maybe we'll have a team up then. For now, see you on the other side." Hybrid said as he took flight, and flew over the city so to find a better way to slip away.
