Ooc: Hope it's alright that I bring in Miguel on this, I figure since he's in SHIELD he could use a couple of friends too.
Bic: Miguel had only been a part of SHIELD for a couple of weeks now as the young spider hero was trying to figure everything out. He had told only a few that he had not been from this time let alone from this whole world. It was different to him in every shape and form, not to mention in his world they didn't have a gigantic Hellicarrier that was up in the sky. So for most of his time, he had spent his time either training, relaxing or exploring the hellicarrier, and so far he couldn't make heads or tails out of the object.
He had just been released from a training job that he had just now as he walked across the ceiling to avoid some odd looks that were given to other agents. He probably looked odd and he felt odd. But most of the agents didn't seem to mind his figure as he realized that it was well past lunch time and might as well get some food. As he walked down the hallway towards the lunch room he heard some voices talking nearby as they seemed to be in an interesting conversation. Miguel couldn't see them yet, but as he got closer his vision got to see a whole lot more. But something surprised him and even caught him off guard as he felt his grip starting to loosen on the ceiling.
"That's too bright!" Was all he could mutter seeing the flash of the helmet as Sam had accidentally activated the helmet. He felt his grip slip and fall as he fell to the ground pretty hard as he groaned. The spider hero was dazed from it. "I'm so sorry I didn't mean to surprise you guys...I...I was..." he was trying to find the right words on it to make it look like he hadn't been stalking them. In fact it really was an accident the whole time.
"oh might just get to the point. I have superior vision but even it isn't the best it can be sometimes...I suffer from photo sensitivity so bright objects like tin heads helmet practically blind me like that. I'll go if you guys want me to...leave." Miguel said as he blinked his eyes a few times from recovering from the incident he couldn't help but notice there was another spider hero there and stared for a bit through his mask. So there are other spider heroes out there? Then that made a whole lot of sense. He still felt embarrassed for dropping in on like that, he hoped he hadn't scared them too much as he started to stand even if he was a bit wobbly and his vision was blurred.

“Well of course give some notification, I never said not to. Still want SHIELD to know you’re not like dead or something obviously.” Anya said with an amused chuckle, knowing she probably had come off as saying not to. It would be a lot smarter to give some notification, even if it was a note left behind with a quick explanation. But what she said was true as well. The organization training them couldn’t do everything or be everywhere, to expect Sam not to find a proper mentor who could truly give him some aid was rather short sighted on SHIELD’s part.
But she gave him a slight smile, “Allies and friends always help one another Sam, even if I didn’t like you I wouldn’t let someone harm a fellow agent and hero. We got to stick together.” She assured him, showing she was all for helping Sam even if there was maybe a time they might end up not getting along. But so far, she couldn’t see any reason they wouldn’t. They seemed alike in some aspects, if maybe Anya being a bit more out-going and up beat compared to Sam himself. That was really the only major difference she could see between herself and Sam not counting powers and age.
Miguel suddenly falling though made Anya jump and turn, not realizing someone was even near them when the helmet projected outwards. Miguel was in fact quite a shock to Anya too as she saw his costume, almost resembling something of a spider but seeming to remind her of Day of the Dead themes as well. Coincidence perhaps?
“No its fine! We didn’t even realize you were there.” Anya spoke up quickly, coming over to Miguel since she could figure Sam too was surprised by his appearance. But she gently grabbed Miguel’s arm, helping him back to his feet before motioning towards Sam’s helmet, hoping Sam might get the drift to try and turn it off. “And it was partly my fault he accidently projected it. I was sort of messing around, he touched the star and there it was.” She explained to Miguel, unable to stop looking in surprise herself as she kept a gentle but firm hold on him so he didn’t fall since he seemed rather unsteady and not in the shape to move much. “But you hardly seem in any shape to do much moving.” She pointed out, helping him to take a seat from where she had been sitting before.
Stepping back though, Anya couldn’t help the remark that soon followed, “But I also didn’t know SHIELD had another spider hero on the carrier. Even if you were new it would have helped to know and we could avoid that happening to you again.” She muttered, mainly annoyed SHIELD seemed to not tell them everything when it came to teammates.

"Yeah that's a good idea, the last thing I want is SHIELD to high tail me back to the hellicarrier or to come in a panick looking for me." Sam said with a sigh knowing SHIELD sometimes over reacted. But if he did go into space, he'd at least let them know about it ahead of time, that was at least best thing he could do at this point. "You're right about sticking together too, that's what allies do. Not to mention the phrase, enemy of my enemy comes to mind." Sam pointed out, glad to see that he and Anya were getting along. He felt bad honestly that he had treated Anya so badly earlier. Perhaps it could be better next time they meet.
Sam winced as he heard a loud slam behind them and it sounded like a rough one too. "Sorry, I guess I had no idea that there was someone else nearby." The young nova said as he looked back noticing that someone else had come in. He had heard Miguel talk about how he was light sensitive, and he had a tough time dealing with it. Bright lights even in New York were probably a pain for him too in the morning. Sam put a hand on the star of his nova helmet and the AI quickly shut off the star atlas. As much fun as it was, it was clear all good things came to an end. Anya quickly went over to see how the other SHIELD agent was as he turned to see who their new friend was.
...it was another spider hero? Things just got interesting from the looks of things.
Sam came over to help pull Miguel up with the other arm that he had as he looked unsteady after a fall like that. The loud metal clashing against human skin was tough but it looked as if Miguel was more stunned than anything from the lights. He'd recover in time once he got enough space and rest.
"You guys look like you both got spider powers, I know that's pointing out the obvious in this case." Sam said as he put his helmet back on his head figuring that was probably the best place for now. Miguel was still on occasions rubbing his eyes as he tried to get them to adjust. It was probably a pain that the other spider hero had such sensitive vision and it came at a cost. "My name's Sam Alexander or Nova by the way. I am sorry about what happened to you earlier." He apologized knowing he could probably let up and not treat Miguel the same way he had been with Anya earlier. Who knew, maybe he could make another friend while they were still talking?

"Sorry about that. I should be the one who apologizes." Miguel said as he felt like he needed to apologize about ten times over. he still was in the force of habit of rubbing his eyes until they stopped flashing all kinds of colors. That was bad if someone got into a fight with him and they had some form of light energy with him they'd be in trouble. "But I forgive you two for doing that. So don't worry one bit. I was mostly exploring the hellicarrier the last couple of days but that's the first time I got surprised by something." he admitted knowing there was a first time for everything. He felt Anya and Sam lift him up carefully as he sat down in one of the seats that was at the table. It was clear he was in no condition to move or get up any time soon.
"To be honest, I'm new to this whole SHIELD project really. I spent a couple of months in Neuva...No New York being a super hero and SHIELD must've noticed my presence down there. They are pretty smart." Miguel said trying to catch himself from saying Neuva York. In his time, New York had changed to Nueva York but it was pretty much the same city as far as he could tell...just more advanced compared to the others.
"And my name is Spider-Man 2099, or as my civilian name goes by it's Miguel O' Hara." he said noticing that they were looking at his costume rather curiously. It was probably different from what they were used to seeing as he chuckled. "You look like you want to know more of the costume? To answer your question it's a part of the...Day of the Dead." he said having a bit of a trouble due to his fangs but he managed to make himself clear towards the others.
"My family is half Irish one side and the other half from my mom is Spanish." He said as he noticed that perked Sam's interest since he seemed to have a similar background. Maybe the same could be said for Anya. If there were any injuries, Miguel felt his healing factor starting to work again and they quickly healed up, his vision was returning back to normal as he got up and sat on the back part of the chair as he squatted down on it, but even with his weight it wasn't enough to knock it over. "Sorry if I sounded like I'm bragging. I don't talk about myself that much, but you guys looked really curious." He admitted knowing he didn't want to even drop the idea on them that he wasn't from this time. That'd blow their minds.

So, Miguel was new as well. It seemed SHIELD was recruiting and searching for new members everywhere in New York these days, and it seemed they were getting quite the collection of spider-themed heroes at this rate. But she couldn’t help thinking that at one point Miguel made an impromptu costume like Anya had at one point until she got this new suit from SHIELD. At least his made more sense than her first one. Now that was truly a lot of improvising and using what she had available on her person since she had been required to become a hero almost overnight when the Spider Society came knocking.
“That would explain why we didn’t hear about you then. Unfortunately, can never be too sure with SHIELD, they don’t exactly keep us up to date with everything.” Anya explained, letting her annoyance disappear a little with realizing that it wasn’t entirely SHIELD’s fault after all and just circumstances they hadn’t met Miguel yet. But she did listen, seeing her suspicions were confirmed about his costume but she gave a slight smile when hearing about his lineage. “Ironic you say that, me and Sam are both half Spanish in lineage as well. My mother was Spanish but my father is Puerto Rican and Sam is half alien.”
That felt weird to tell someone, especially since Sam probably would want to have said that himself. “But my name is Anya Corazon, but out in the field my name is Arana. Which I know you probably can figure that’s right to the point.” Anya said with a sheepish smile. Arana was basically spider in Spanish, probably almost more to the point that Spider-man or something like Spider-girl.
But as she went to say something else, Anya turned as she heard an agent in the doorway, “Arana, you’re needed in the training room next. You’re doing the obstacle course today.” The agent told her as Anya grinned, “About time! Haven’t done that in a while.” She said with excitement before turning back to the two, “Though I’m sorry to cut our talk short you two. Perhaps we can talk later.” Anya told them as she pulled her mask down, giving a final smile before she hurried out.

Sam shrugged, he couldn't tell if he looked in a mirror or not if he was half alien. His father may have been from Xandar, but he was pretty much human, and it appeared that Xandrians were also human looking as well. You probably couldn't even tell the difference, at least he thought so anyways. But regardless, Miguel was giving him an odd look at this point, he might've been the odd one out without having any spider powers in the group. But as Anya introduced herself, it seemed like she was called by another SHIELD agent to go ahead and do some training on her own. Maybe one of these days the three of them would be paired up to see if they could practice using their powers.
"Aw, see you later Anya. And good luck on your training lesson too." Sam said as he held onto his black helmet noticing that he might forget it. this lunch session had been an interesting one since he had pretty much met too new SHIELD agents that were pretty much at his level. He didn't feel so alone now, and that was pretty good feeling on his part.
An idea came to his head as he looked back at Miguel wondering how the spider hero would think about this...they know about pranks right? "Heay Miguel, if you're up for it, I can bring you around the SHIELD hellicarrier and show you the spots that I can access, that's if you want. And maybe we can do a bit of pranking some unsuspecting SHIELD agents, too." He said in a soft whisper towards the spider. Before he'd even let the Spider hero speak up, he put his black helmet on as he felt the Nova Force go through his body. And like the human rocket he was he took off, leaving a trail of blue behind him. He figured Miguel would have no problem keeping up with him...spiders were fast weren't they? ....Well, he wasn't the one to listen in on Biology class, so he couldn't remember the answer to that one.

"I see, it's nice to meet the both of you." Miguel said as he listened to what Anya had to say. "And that's a neat code name if you ask me....it's better than mine. I mean it screams super hero in a costume, codename." Miguel said with a soft shrug. But at least he was able to tell himself apart from the others. And not to mention not too many had a costume that resembled the Day of the Dead.
But it seemed just as their conversation was getting on, Miguel turned as he heard a voice nearby as a SHIELD agent had come to fetch Anya. Apparently she had some improtant training session to go to, and they wanted her now. He couldn't blame Sam for feeling down like that, they were just getting to know each other. But there would be other chances of all three of them meeting, they worked for the same group after all. "Well then Anya, see you later. And good luck, like Sam said." He said.
"Sure, I'd like to see more of the hellicarrier...and causing mischeif sounds-" Before MIguel could even finish what he was going to say. Sam took off in the opposite direction down the hallway causing a couple of SHIELD agents to scream or yell out in surprise. Behind the mask, Miguel smiled a bit. Perhaps he was going to fit in here on the hellicarrier. There were other super heroes and learning ones as well. Not to mention he was even more surprised to find out that there were other spider heros on the ship as well. "Maybe this isn't so bad, here. I think I'll like it." He said to himself as he set a blast of webbing in the direction that Sam went to let it swing him across. He would catch up to Sam in a few minutes...that is if the young Nova hadn't left him in the dust by now.
