It had been awhile since Pietro had been this far from the Avengers Tower. The speedster awoke finding himself in some kind of spooky like forest that was surrounded by dense fog. He was on his back and it had ached a bit from where he had hit the ground earlier. "Where am I?" He asked as he rubbed his head a bit and brushed some of his white hair out of his face. As he looked around it appeared that he had fallen right into an ancient cemetery.
This place was so overgrown by brush and trees, and not to mention the graveyard hadn't been touched by the living in some time, Pietro had a feeling that he was probably one of the first to go back this far into the forest. As Pietro got up he began to walk a bit as he saw something move within the shadows as a figure could be seen not far from where he was. As he walked up he thought for sure that he was dealing with another person who might've gotten lost. It didn't occur to him that this may as well have been a ghost. "Heay is everything alright? Do you know where I am?" He asked as he came over, the person seemed to be of a young woman dressed in white as she hovered from the ground.
She was very pale looking as she looked down at one of the graves it seemed to have a name written on it, but like this cemetery it faded with time. "Secret." It said softly before it faded into nothing and it stunned Pietro a bit...maybe he needed to start listening to those ghost stories that they always showed on tv...it looked like he encountered a ghost himself! That was sure something that he needed to tell Wanda...if he got out of this place alive.
"Congratulations, Quicksilver. You've been chosen to participate in the Contest of Champions. Your opponent will be shown on the score board above." The voice said as the Collector already choose his champion. But unlike the Grandmaster, he wasn't going to allow his young challengers to be killed or even destroyed. He'd...rather have them up and put them up on display they weren't objects of war, but his brother didn't seem to see that side one bit. Pietro looked up at the monitor showing a demon known as Blackheart. "Oh boy." Was all that he could say. This for sure was going to be a day dealing with the super natural, and that wasn't exactly his forte.

Blackheart didn't exactly know what had happened. One moment he had been hijacking some poor soul to add to his collection of growing power from the misdeeds and mayhem the Dark Syndicate caused from time to time, but sometimes a wayward soul would be what he needed. All he had recalled as taking the soul and then a bright flash of light blinding him, causing the demon to raise his hand to block it out. Then, instead of concrete of Las Vegas he felt dead grass and rough gravel beneath his clawed, bare feet that made him wonder where exactly he was now.
Once his eyes had adjusted, he found himself in a rather welcoming place for any demon who fed on souls. Normally, Blackheart was one of those who would welcome such an opportunity but this seemed...different, out of place some how. Not to mention he seemed to have been brought here by teleportation means he wasn't not familiar with, least not something that was instantaneous. "Hm." Blackheart began to move carefully around the knarled trees and scanning the fog for signs of life, but it seemed the only things here were the dead themselves, which was rather ironic that he was looking for someone alive. Even a grave keeper would give some indication of where he was.
Then another booming voice finally spoke, causing Blackhear to tense and turn on the spot, his tail lashing slightly. "Welcome fallen Hell Lord, it seems you are ready for the first round of the Contest of Champions! Your opponent shall be the Avenger Quicksilver. Good luck!" The Gamemaster announced before his voice disappeared as quickly as it appeared. So, he had been taken without so much as a warning? This was rather ridiculous that was for certain and he wasn't exactly thrilled to be used as a pawn. That was his job, not someone else's! "Oh I'll take care of this little hero then I'll find whoever you are and tear out your soul and much more for this." Blackheart snarled under his breathe, for now unable to do much for what he would have to endure until he discovered the source of the booming voice.
Turning back to the graveyard, Blackheart extended his mind until he touched someone's mind. But this mind felt like a powerful, unsteady storm, a whirl of thoughts that prevented him from really trying to break through to it. But, this did answer the question of who his opponent was. This Quicksilver probably had some kind of speed capabilities, if the codename was anything to go by much less his messy thoughts. But it did give him a full indication of what he might be dealing with as he headed to follow where these thoughts were.
He moved silently and swiftly, using the darkness to cover his form until he spotted the white haired mutant and flicked his tail. He seemed...small, an easy target but there was probably more to him than could really be seen. "So, you must be Quicksilver. How...unimpressive." Blackheart said, coming to land on a grave on top of the ground in a crouched position, his tail lashing back and forth as he stared Pietro down with burning red eyes. "Your move hero."

"Trying to scare me? Oh please it's not working." Pietro said knowing it took a lot more than a few ghosts to try and scare him. Being back in Germany he had faced so many hardships with trying to be a mutant, he knew what fear was. The humans had it in their eyes since day one. "I may not know so much in the way of the supernatural, but that doesn't bother me a whole lot." Pietro said knowing that he might've been put in this fight as an unfair one as far as he was concerned. He didn't even really know who Blackheart was at this point. But he'd find out sooner or later.
"Why don't I at least show you why I'm called Quicksilver, that at least won't leave you pondering it, hm?" Pietro asked not being able to hold back his excited talk. He figured Blackheart would be able to understand him one way or another. The quilled lizard like demon was a force to be reckoned with but at least he'd go down trying.
As Pietro stood there, he felt the ground starting to shake around him like an earthquake was forming beneath his feet. When it was instead his ability to use the molecular acceloration ability where he shook his feet at incredibly high impacts. He hoped that this would knock Blackheart off of his feet, or even to the ground, but he had a feeling that this would only be a temporary thing and he had to act fast. Luckily fast was pretty much his middle name...no it was his code name.
"By the way have you actually ever met the Avengers? It sounds like you haven't just with the mocking tone you have. We're not just a bunch of heros, we're a group of them. But it looks like our Collector and Grandmaster friend here don't want us to fight as a team." Pietro said with a shrug.

Blackheart rolled his eyes as this mutant seemed to be nothing but talk at this rate, and he was quickly growing tired of this trivial talk. Quite frankly, he was fixing to get right to the point of this combat-centered contest since they really didn’t have much of a choice. But just as Blackheart stood to attack he stopped, feeling the ground begin to shake and causing him to lose his balance with a low growl, falling backwards and landing with a loud thud.
“You should really learn to stop talking so much…” The quilled demon spoke up, as he opened a portal beneath him and the other side appearing above Pietro, “And act when your enemy is caught off his guard!” Blackheart growled, as he came flying down on Pietro, fists ready to begin striking at the mutant. What Blackheart could sense though was that this was indeed a true graveyard, sense the souls that were wandering here and there. Some were restless, angry, furious, bitter at their end too soon before they could enact their final actions in the living. Now they were bound here, stuck and unable to do much about their situation.
In other words, Blackheart was making note of those souls to give himself a boost later if he had to. Right now, he would rely on his own current power level since he wanted to see how tough Pietro was. He would do whatever he could to win this match, to win the contest and find out who was causing them to be forced into this. Blackheart was not the kind to be a pawn but the one controlling pawns himself. To say the least, this was a blow to his ego.

"Woah!" Pietro said as his lightning fast reaction couldn't even save him from this shock. Since when could demons go through portals like that? Pietro felt the strike come and hit him pretty hard. Pietro was flung backwards as his back hit the old stone wall that once belonged to the part of the cemetery. Parts of this place had been sectioned off for certain periods of time when the deceased loved ones passed away. As Pietro felt the wind get knocked out of him, he looked up noticing the same female ghost apparation appeare again. "Great I got an angry demon chasing me and now you seem to like me too." Pietro said with a sigh as he stood up.
"No secrets." She said shaking her head as she looked back at the demon known as Blackheart.
"What does that even mean?" Pietro asked not understanding what this woman wanted. But as he turned back from where the girl was, he was stunned to see that her body quickly changed into a gargoyle like looking monster along with a woman's body as wings came from her back. She was no longer the nice looking girl that she had been minutes ago. "And, I'll admit it I officially believe in ghosts now." Pietro said half wishing he hadn't come here in the first place. He couldn't figure out who was the creepier of the two, blackheart or this woman.
"Heay Blackheart, I think I found your opposite gender, ugly meet ugly." Pietro said. "And from the looks of things you got one ghost annoyed for touching its grave." Quicksilver added as he stood up and began to speed away from the woman as she let out a howling scream. Someone got her mad and he wasn't about to stick around to find out who it was.

Blackheart lashed his tail as she walked towards the downed Pietro, giving the mutant a glare that would make most weak, spineless individuals quiver. “For someone known for their speed little hero, I expected much more reaction and a challenge.” The demon spoke, sounding quite bored as he moved closer towards the Avenger. It had been sometime since he could find a proper opponent to satisfy his boredom and prove entertaining. He had gotten a little of that with the SHIELD agent in the armor but she had backed off the moment she got the chance alongside the younger one.
But Blackheart stopped as the woman’s spirit appeared, eyeing her closely up until her change into a freakish monster, cringing from her sudden cry. She almost sounded like the fabled banshee some of the humans believed in, usually a restless spirit of a woman who could not get her revenge in life. It made him scoff and shake off the scream as he approached the girl, burning red eyes staring her down. “Poor, poor dear mortal girl. What tragedy would lead such a pretty little thing to such a path?” Blackheart inquired in mock sadness, grabbing the transformed woman by the neck as if she were still living. “Shame I don’t really care. And your misery will serve me well.”
While he spoke, Blackheart began trying to absorb the necroplasmic energy of the deceased woman while he raised his other hand in which he had begun to concentrate energy into. “I’d watch my back speedster.” Blackheart whispered as he fired the concentrated form of magic energy, aiming it towards Pietro’s back.
But with being in a graveyard the Prince of Hell decided it probably was best to collect some power while in the contest. He could store the anger, bitterness, and rage to power himself up for this contest while the rest he could put towards his ultimate goal.

It was clear Pietro was not ready for this type of fighting. He rarely delt with the supernatural, he was certain that his parents the Maximoffs had believed in the Paranormal parts since they were gypsies but they never really went deep into it. But he hadn't looked back to see what had happened to that poor girl. Apparently she wasn't meant to last as she turned into a really scary looking Banshee. But before she could even attack or defend herself she was absorbed by the demon that was Blackheart. It appeared that the cemetery was the perfect place for him and Pietro would come to regret it. But there had to be a place out of this cemetery, it was like a giant maze.
"Watch my back? What-" He was cut off before he could ask what he meant but clearly he figured it out. Before he could react, Blackheart went through a portal and sent a blast of some form of concentrated energy. "Oh that." He said as he quickly tried to dodge the on coming attack but Blackheart managed to beat him, and went faster, beating him.
Pietro fell to the ground but instinctively put his hands out to catch himself before he managed to damage anything. He wished Wanda were here. She may have been more of a help if she had been on his side. She would've liked this type of fight for sure. "Hm, you haven't met my sister, she likes the whole paranormal area. But me not so much." He said, wondering if his sister was apart of the Contest of Champions too. If not he was on his own.
"Looks like I need to step this up a notch." He said as he quickly began to use his powers as he tried to spin around Blackheart as fast as he could go. The area around him began to pick up in speed with the winds, and they were very heavy. It began to stir some of the ghosts nearby as their graves were bothered, but perhaps after seeing Blackheart they thought it was better to perhaps stay away and back in the ground. "And I'd say eat my dust if you can keep up." He said in a half heartedly teasing tone. Quicksilver also wondered if there were other Avengers on the Contest of Champions. Well he was terrified to find out who else was in this Contest of Champions especially if there were other villains in it.
