Darkness had fallen on the sleepy part of the city where the casino rested. It had been the first time in a couple of months since Kaine had been back to the city like New York. The casino was his home now and even that sounded funny. He found himself sitting on the roof top as if he were contemplating, thinking about future things that would come along and how he could contribute to the group. But it was well known that most spider heroes went their own way. He would get used to it over time but right now it felt strange. Sighing he picked up his phone that he received as a gift since it was a vital part of his communication between the other members of the Dark Syndicate, another member was on the line that he had only just been introduced but the conversation was short and to the point. “So you don’t want me to show your past to you just yet? You’re an odd spider as far as I’m concerned. But if that’s what you want then so be it.” Madame Pryor said on other end.
“But I did do a little digging earlier on your brain there are walls and if you pick at those slowly it should come down, with a little help from someone who knows what they’re doing. I understand how you are afraid but you will have to face your fears one of these days, take that as a word of advice, facing it is better than running. I’ll see you around Scarlet Spider; I’m attending to my goblins as of now.” Madame Pryor said as she hung up the phone call after having a short message with her and the telepath ended the call.
“I feel torn. One side of me doesn’t want to know and the other side does. But I know when that day comes Pryor is right I will have to face my fears.” Scarlet Spider said with a sigh as he looked up at the moon. It could just barely be seen without all the light pollution in the sky. If anything, he liked the moon, it may have sounded strange but there was an eerie mystery surrounding it, at least that’s what he thought. He often came out to view it when the nights were slow and there wasn’t any kind of crime going on in the streets just like today.
“But when I do get the chance, Oscorp will pay for the way they treated me." He grumbled to himself. Putting out his hand forward he quickly released red colored webbing off his wrists. It was time to see if he could punish some poor soul around the casino as he sent out the webbing towards the nearby wall of another building. It was about time now when most people were asleep; they wouldn’t realize that a certain wall crawler was out and about. If Blackheart needed him he could always call, after all he was just itching for something to do.
