Location: King's Canyon Time: 7:00 AM Tag: @anyacorazon , Kaine Riley , Kwaku Anansi , Miguel O'Hara This was probably not the training his newest companions had in mind, much less a way to see what exactly they could do in general. SHIELD always seemed strict on how training should be and where it should be handled, in particular they favored monitored training in and on the Helicarrier within their specialized training rooms. It was state-of-the-art and impressive, Hybrid could give them that, but it also was limited in space, and it's capabilities. He had tested it himself and well, it was not to his liking. It felt restrictive, especially for five people fixing to train and a potential for the team to grow with the number of spider heroes supposedly out there so he was less then pleased and decided to go against protocol. Instead, Hybrid had ordered the team into a Quinjet and had taken them away from the United States and the Helicarrier, taking them to a much more open, less populated area. He had found a rather perfect destination in fact that would serve well to test each of their skills and powers. " Probably not what you four were expecting, but the Helicarrier is too cramped, restrictive, it will only hold us back." Hybrid spoke as he was landing the jet a few feet away from the rim of the massive canyon, turning in his chair to look at them. " Therefore, as your acting field leader, I decided we needed a much more open space to truly let loose." With that, Hybrid stood after turning of the jet, its engines giving soft whirs as it powered down and he strolled down the ramp towards the rim of the canyon. Once more he inspected it, seeing it truly was deep but offered chances to use all that they needed. Below were several trees, most of which could take their weight and be a good chance to practice stealth or other skills they could not practice for gaps and wall climbing. The best part? It was open, free of surveillance, free of the constant concerns for policies and restrictions laid down by SHIELD. Out here, he could really do some teaching and testing. Now, he just had to wait for the others to get their bearings since it was somewhat early and no doubt they were still waking up.

It had been far too early to be leaving the Helicarrier, much less getting up for training. Anya had felt like her body was on autopilot when she got ready, dragging her feet through the whole thing and on her way to the Quinjet. Luckily, it was the weekend which meant she wasn't exactly concerned with getting up early, but today it seemed Hybrid had wanted to get an earlier start. Why of all days it had to be a Saturday? Though she had pointed this out, while yawning loudly at the time, he had seemed dumbfounded by such a thing as if it were a weird custom. The guy surely had known about that when he was young right?
With that, she had given no further argument on her part and hadn't paid much attention if anyone else argued over this as well. She had simply followed into the jet, plopped onto a seat, buckled up, and fell right back asleep in her seat. At least the chairs weren't totally uncomfortable, not right now at least. For those next two hours Anya slept like the dead, dreaming about her own bed and being asleep at home. If only she had gone home that weekend instead of last she probably could have avoided this little trip.
It was when the jet landed and jolted her seat did Anya sit up suddenly, "I'm awake! Just resting my eyes!" It was then she realized it had only been the movement of the jet that awoke her, causing her to relax but quickly wipe the corner of her mouth where she had drooled. Hopefully no one saw that. They'd never let her live it down if they did, leaving her to quickly unbuckle and stretch slightly, popping several cramped joints and muscles. "Ahh, so needed that nap." She muttered, glancing at a window when she finished. "So, what did I miss exactly?"

They were definitely not in New York anymore. Kaine sat silently through most of the flight, he had some growing issues and rebellious ones too about joining these web warriors. He felt like he was the black sheep of the group since he had such a hard life on the run trying to be Scarlet Spider. He sat in his own seat with his arms crossed as he looked out the window. Anya and the others were probably half asleep now with everything that was going on, and Scarlet had to admit he was still having trouble waking up, he had a decent amount of caffine from the coffee he drank but he wondered if it was all for nothing since his healing factor probably melted it away.
It wasn't long before the jet landed and the hatch opened so they could climb out, he was after Anya as he noticed the canyons that surrounded them. Not to mention it was hot as hates. "Were are we? It feels like it could easily be 100 degrees outside in the heat." Scarlet asked knowing he wasn't the only one that had questions here.
"You didn't miss much Mr. Voodoo guy over there is as quiet as a mouse the, only thing accompanied us was the engine noise. Heck I could've flown this plane better." Scarlet said as his own crankiness sat in, though it was probably more the fact that he was going to be away from things that he was familiar with. He was no longer in New York. And he had told Katherine that he'd likely not be able to see her this weekend which frustrated him even more. "Now we've waited this long to find out why you dragged our butts out here. My patience is growing thin." Scarlet said as he pointed back at Hybrid with his finger closest to his thumb. He was sure he wasn't the only one that probably was loosing his patience but Scarlet let it show this time around. They might as well start off with their names so they could at least get to know everyone.

Although Kwaku had spent most of his time in Africa this had been one of those rare moments where he'd be able to see outside of his home country. Unlike some of the other heroes he'd be able to handle the heat just fine, he was used to the hot summer days of Africa as the heat boiled down on him, so he was ready. Some of them had worn dark suits which would only add to the pain and suffering that would come. If they didn't find water or shade to cool themselves off they might be in some serious trouble. It appeared for most of the ride they were awful quiet, he hardly said anything as he appeared to be in a meditative state. It was only when the plain landed did he notice that the others were cranky from the morning, Scarlet Spider especially sounded like it.
"I'd bite your tongue Scarlet Spider." Asani said. "Where I am from you wouldn't last even a day in the african wilderness, this is no different." Asani said with a warning look towards the other spider. It was clear things were starting to heat up, even though things hadn't even begun or Hybrid had started this. he really wondered if this whole web warriors was such a good idea. Not to mention they didn't even have a leader just yet, Hybrid was more of a teacher than anything.
"I only hope that the spider god is willing to lend us a hand in this one, he is a wise and kind person when he wants to be. But if he deems us unworthy, then we might as well go home with tails tucked between our legs like a coyote." Asani said as he walked out of the jet after it managed to land. It was clear the others may have not believed in those types of things. But asani had been grateful of the gifts that the spider god had given to him and because of that he had managed to come this far. "I am worried we may not even make it through round one." He said softly with a sigh.

"Heay guys I really don't want to play peace keeper her." Miguel's first words of the whole trip were out finally. Most of the others were quiet or doing their own thing. He got up from his own seat as they arrived out in some unknown area of Australia. Miguel had never been to australia probably like the others but he noticed just how hot it was and how unbearable it soon began to come. "And morning Anya I guess while you were asleep these two were pretty much arguing the whole time." Miguel said as he greeted his friend. Both Anya and he had met suddenly or you could say by surprise one day while she was talking with Nova. Miguel still has that eye sensitive problem so with the amount of brightness on the sun he would need his glasses which were hidden away in his few things that were brought on his trip.
Miguel also brought his own suited up spider costume of a blue and red suit, similar to what Spider-Man would've worn. However his had a large skull on the front. And on top of that he had some webbing on his shoulders that acted like a 'cape' in a way as it dragged behind him. His sharp claws could be seen but his face was relatively hidden behind the mask. Maybe one day he could show it to Anya, he didn't think that was such a bad idea now was it? He trusted her. But these other ones was a different story. He trusted Scarlet Spider who seemed like a rogue version of spider man, and did what he wanted, without listening to others. That was not going to end well.
"Something tells me this trip isn't going to be an easy one." He said with a sigh as he heard Scarlet Spider and Ansani starting to argue again. He was pretty sure he heard his own family from the future even say once that a house divided couldn't stand. And it would no doubt be the same thing here. "Oh boy." He said rubbing his head as if he were getting a headache. He sure hoped that Hybrid knew what he was doing. Each one of these spider heroes had potential with different backgrounds, but personalities and disagreements among all of them seemed to get in the way of what they were after. And that was not good.

Hybrid gave a soft grumble of irritation when he listened to the four behind him, especially Scarlet Spider and Kwaku, who seemed bent on arguing and making their irritation known. He figured they might be annoyed but this was just plain dumb on their part for jumping to conclusions and not giving him a full chance to explain the reason for being there. It would seem he would have to get it through their thick heads that he wasn't SHIELD and wasn't playing by their rules.
"First of all, we are here because SHIELD can't control everything and sometimes they need to loosen their hold on their agents. And seeming as I was made the unofficial teacher of this little mishmash of a team my word goes above other concerns." Hybrid began with a growl, making Anya suddenly become attentive obviously seeming to be watchful of his hostile tone. But he ignored any defensive reactions as he glared them down. "I chose Kings Canyon because of the issue of needing room. We will be training in other places such as this to be prepared for more than just a little city, that will not always be where you fight and needing to know more than your home field advantage will help you in the long run."
Though, it didn't seem he was completely finished driving home his point as his form became a seemingly shapeless blob of organic matter before the form separated into four equal shapeless blobs. These forms soon too shape of four humanoid beings, two muscular male forms, a smaller, leaner male form, and a more feminine being, each taking a purple, yellow, green, and dark pink color respectively before they revealed to be four separate symbiotes. "You think you have it bad, try dealing with four beings in one body, for minds who have to co-exist just to survive in this world." Lasher, the green symbiote, stated with a growl, gesturing to his companions.
A chuckle left the female one then, showing a visible mouth compared to Hybrid's combined form and visible fangs, flexing her claws. "We could easily have just torn you apart while all of you were half asleep or take the chance to take over but we didn't. You think you four have it bad, trying being us for a day." She sneered, before eyeing them with obvious interest. "I mean, we could take you over if we wanted. There is one for each of you."

Anya gave Kwaku and Kaine a frown, wondering if they would be like this for the entire trip. Sure she didn't expect them all to get along right away, but to already resort to almost tearing each others heads off seemed a little more than they bargained for. Honestly, she had to share Miguel's concerns if things were really going to work out after all. "Kaine, just slow your roll and let Hybrid explain and Kwaku, cut the antagonism. I would hardly think a spider god would want his magic vessel using his powers for something as stupid as a disagreement of opinions, I was always told magic of any kind should be used wisely." Anya told them sternly, resting a hand on her upper right arm which gave a glow through her dark suit as emphasis.
Soon though, it seemed Hybrid was growing equally short tempered, making her turn to try and tell him to relax as well. But, she had no chance to say anything as his hostile tone made her tense and worry this might indeed turn into a brawl, becoming attentive to what he did until he revealed something she hadn't expected. Maybe what none of them expected. He separated into four beings! This wasn't some man in a costume or a host, he was formed of combined symbiotes, three male and one female.
Now this was quite astonishing to know but did explain a lot of why SHIELD had him so closely monitored. Though after a moment she began to determine what they said was no threat at all, a simple scenario that could have happened. "If you wanted to do that you would have already." Anya spoke up, seeing visible amusement on the female Symbiote's face, otherwise known as Agony. Instead, Anya focused on the large canyon behind them, seeing the open space and some places jutting out sharply on the edges.
"And if its training we're planning to do, then why don't we stop talking and get a feel for this place." Anya told the three male spider heroes beside her, giving them a slight grin. There was no denying Anya was a city girl down to the very clothes she wore, how she lived, and the music she listened to but there was also no denying she liked a little challenge. She hadn't been in true wilderness since the Spider Society left her in a desert to unlock her true potential. Now here she was again, facing barren, rocky deserts and an open canyon.
Without much warning, Anya used her full speed to cover the distance from where they landed to the lip of the canyon and launched herself from it before firing webbing from her wrists. They connected to part of the rock wall jutting from the opposite side and she let out an excited cry as she swung through the air before coming to cling to the opposite side. "Well? You guys coming or not!?" She called to them, her voice echoing in the canyon.

"As long as he doesn't get in my space we should be fine." Scarlet Spider said narrowing his eyes towards Asani who had given Scarlet the cold shoulder. As the symbiotes morphed into four different ones, he was a little bit surprised, but then again he had met Hybrid at least once, and the guy seemed a bit off. Well now he knew why at least. "No thanks I'd like my skin back in one piece." Scarlet said shaking his head as he looked back at the others.
It seemed like out of the five of them Anya seemed to know what she was doing as she looked back at the others. It had also occured to them that they didn't exactly have a leader either. Who knew what happened when they were to pick one? He figured there'd just be more arguing and such. Something he wasn't exactly interested in by now. "Well there's nothing that special just rocks, rocks and more rocks." Scarlet said with an unamused shrug in his voice towards the canyons. But before he could say anything else the female spider hero was off in the direction of the canyons. She seemed to be the only optimistic one around here.
Scarlet quickly put out his own webbing as he sent it forward towards a nearby canyon, it reminded him a lot of New York City with the giant sky scrapers, but he was missing his spider cycle, something that the was getting used to since he had been with SHIELD for a short period of time. Well he'd have to learn how to get used to it without it some day.
As Scarlet attached himself to the webbing and swung forward before clinging to the wall, the view wasn't half bad since they could see a lot of the canyon. There were many twists and turns like the water had made from thousands of years ago. It wasn't long before he felt his spidey sense go off when he realized something was terribly wrong. he hadn't exactly chosen the best place to cling too as he realized that someone was right behind him and Asani had accidentally slid into him smacking his face into the rocks. "Get off of me or I will skewer you. I thought I just said give me some space!" He growled annoyingly as the a Spider God was on top of him, mushing his face into the wall. Probably the others thought it was funny while he was being humiliated.

"I can certainly agree with that one, the spider god chose me because he thought I would be worthy. However if you've noticed most gods are...mischievous, I am no different." Kwaku said knowing that other gods like Loki were mischievous, maybe he wasn't a power hungry egotistical one but he knew when the boundries were put up for being worthy and not worthy. The Spider god had been watching them all and they'd be safe on this trip, he'd be assuring him time and time again when he joined the web warriors. After Anya tried to be the peacekeeper, it worked sort of. Scarlet seemed to be the rag tag guy who preferred to work alone, and so be it. However behind that shell that the young hero had there appeared to be a lot of pain an hurt.
After Anya finished talking, it looked like they were going to start exploring and getting to know the canyons, which was fine with Kwaku. This place reminded him a lot of Africa, it was hot and dry perfect for the young african prince. And so with that in mind, he sent forward some webbing, but even unknown to him it happened to be in the same direction to where Scarlet Spider had shot off his webbing an the two pretty much collided with a loud pang.
"Well sorry mister red spider. I at least hope you are better at respecting elders than you are respecting your own team mates." Kwaku said as he quickly got off Scarlet Spider. It was clear this whole jumping to becoming a team was perhaps going to be harder than they thought. They all ha different personalities. Scarlet Spider being the loner, Kwaku was the forgotten Prince, and Miguel who was from the future. Quite an odd bunch but maybe it'd be a miracle that would needed to be performed for the Web Warriors to work. However, maybe what they really needed was to trust each other before things got any better.

This was sincerely a pathetic and sorry excuse as they managed to start out their first journey. Everyone had been edgy, jumpy and cranky on this Saturday Morning. As Miguel hung from a nearby rock from their Ship the fighting started almost immediantly between Kwaku and Scarlet Spider. Anya ha tried to dowse the flames, and it worked...sorta. Miguel sighed, wishing that he had been back home with his family, but that was just it, wishful thinking. Though it was clear the arguing was agonizing their own leader as he pretty much ship shafted right in front of their eyes as four symbiotes came forward, "I'd rather keep my own skin as the next guy, no thanks." He said shaking his head towards Hybrid who was now four symbiotes. They were deadly and Miguel had felt first hand what symbiotes could do from his time.
An idea came to mind wondering if this would help diffuse the fued that was already breaking out, "Heay Anya I think I've got an idea. How about we split up just a bit so everyone can calm down?" MIguel asked. "I know when I was young my mother split us up and occupied my brothers and me if we got into a fight. It could work here. I'll take Kwaku if you want to take Scarlet Spider. I think he's at least listening to you." Miguel offered wondering if this buddying system would work at all or if even a little bit. He had to have some faith in himself for trying to help out.
"Say have we ever gotten an idea on an official team leader? I thought it was Hybrid at first." He said before taking one powerful dive down to some lower rocks and pretty much landed with ease. It looked like if a human had done that he would've broken some bones. But not to Miguel he had done much worse and pretty much survived it as kept up with the other spiders with ease.
