Dante Pertuz
"Inferno"
Name:Dante Pertuz
Nicknames: None at the moment
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Affiliation: Unaffiliated Villain
Personality: Dante seems to follow his namesake pretty well. He is quick tempered and stubborn, being the type of persona who is easy to provoke in a fight or trigger into a state of fury. He doesn't take well to someone insulting him, more so someone insulting his family and will not be afraid to show them his fists which more often than not is not pretty. He is also difficult to persuade into things or change his mind when they are focused on a single goal, making Dante a little single-minded and difficult to work with. Often, people find his proneness to anger and aggression unsettling and he most times doesn't apologize for it, especially when he finds justification for using his rage, anger, and aggression towards things. To say the least, it's how he seems to get through life which is just as cruel and twisted.
Despite a proneness to violence and aggression, Dante isn't exactly all bad. He does care for those he is close to, especially his family who are some of the most important people in his life would protect with his last breathe. It shows that he is quite protective, sometimes overly so and will not hesitate to jump into a fight if it meant protecting them. Dante is attitudinal but trouble follows him but he generally follows in doing what he feels is right, although it is not always in the most legal or heroic of ways. He generally likes to take matters into his own hands and dish out his own form of justice, again willing to risk life and limb for his beliefs and protecting the things he feels need it. Though in a sense he has gained a warped sense of justice over time and feels no need to hesitate in his actions.
Dante also feels a kind of superiority complex, seeing regular humans as nothing but fragile, hostile, cruel beings who no nothing beyond themselves. He knows the Inhumans are more powerful and hold potential to be the next jump beyond humanity and thus holds no true good will towards humans anymore. Though, he does hold respect for those who are superhuman, whether they are half alien, gained their powers in some weird way, gods, monsters, or mutant, he sees them as the next step like the Inhumans and know how it feels to be seen in a negative light despite what good they do. But he will never understand why there are those who help humanity when they want nothing more than to oppress and hold them back.
Appearance: Dante is a young man standing at 5'11" of pure muscle. He is a physically fit, toned and quite strong when in his normal state, albeit stronger than most humans his age, height, and weight. He has some minor bits of scars covering his body from the few years as working as a villain and some from his childhood that might be typical and tanned skin. He has a youthful looking appearance, sharp facial features, brown eyes, and black hair that tends to be messy though sometimes is spiked up. His clothes tend to fall on the casual side and he will often wear hoodies of red and black or gray, sneakers, and occasionally a belt or formal attire, but nothing tight and slightly loose.
Most often in his Inferno persona, he wears a specialized suit of red and black or will go into his molten rock, fiery golem state of which is blackened or covered in ash with cracks that reveal the flames within his body. The flames also tend to emanate from his eyes, mouth, and hands.
Family Tree:
Unnamed Mother
Gabriela Pertuz (Sister)
John (Brother-in-Law)
Unnamed Niece
History: Dante is the oldest of two children born in Des Plaines, Illinois to his mother and unknown father. For a year Dante was an only child to his parents before the arrival of his sister Gabriela, though the family of four would become three as they eventually lost Dante's father in a car accident. As a result, Dante's mother spent time working often to support the family and when her children were old enough had them in day cares while she did so but always spent what time she could with them regardless of hard times. By the time both siblings were starting primary school though, some luck came to their side as Dante's mother found steady income at last and began working as an accountant and cashier at a local large company.
Following this, the family finally had more time to spend together and as Dante grew older he became the "man of the house" with looking out for his sister and mother whenever he could. But he did face some issues of bullies and began showing signs of anger issues, although normally his family were able to help him through it although sometimes he would unleash his wrath on the bullies who always pressed his boundaries. There was on incident that Dante got into a nasty fight resulting in him needing to go to the ER but he survived with only minor scars. Growing fed up with the fighting though his mother grounded him for four months and began seeking a way to keep Dante on track, eventually introducing her son to music.
At first unsure about it, Dante gave a few different instruments a try and began to fall in love with music. Most especially he seemed to love the guitar, drums, and keyboard, drawing him away from having too much free time to spending most of his time improving his music when he wasn't doing music. His talent for it though soon drew the attention of a local band that were made of members from his middle school who soon became his best friends, especially after they invited him to try being their final band member. The five were an instant local hit and Gabriela was often one of their biggest fans, often seeing and traveling their shows in the local county while his mother seemed quite pleased. The band continued into even high school and Dante was thrilled to see his friend John growing close to his sister to the point the two began dating.
When it came to his junior year of high school though, Dante's life was changed forever as someone from the hidden Inhuman colony Orollan showed up, seeking to take the family to test for their ancient Inhuman bloodline. His mother refused however, not trusting the person and trying to slam the door in his face. But the person persisted for the next three days before Dante angrily booted them to the curb, quite literally and stalked up to them. But after the person calmly explained what he was trying to do Dante finally calmed and decided to go himself to see what it was like, promising his mother and sister he would be back and was soon taken to the lost city of Orollan in Greenland where he was found to be able to undergo Terrigenesis.
The change however was not pleasant as Dante found himself in pain and burning up when he broke from his cocoon, unable to control his newly discover abilities and needed to be subdued. He was given some training but his impatience and temper caused some difficult and he eventually grew fed up and left to travel back home. On his way there though, Dante discovered how little control he had as he occasionally left off bursts of flames or destroyed small areas, startling humans and causing hostile backlash by locals wherever he went, causing him to feel that his new change wasn't going to be willingly accepted and that this sudden change meant right now wasn't the best time to return home. So instead, Dante resided himself to trying to become a hero like many others but failed when smart remarks and negative comments unleashed his powers in a darker way than he intended and soon found himself feeling at home in destruction and chaos.
He soon became someone who preferred doing things his own way and became a villain who attacked street level thugs, gang members, and criminals but cared little for casualties or destruction of property. After three years though he did hear from his mother through a prepaid phone he was able to get his hands on and heard of his sister's up and coming wedding, which he would come to attend and wished her and his friend luck, being overjoyed to hear they were expecting a child. It was then that Dante remained in Illinois while outside the county continued his villainous ways until the birth of his niece and the fact he was drawing attention from local authorities who narrowed it down to who the culprit was forcing him to travel elsewhere for the sake of his family.
Super Powers:
Inhuman Physiology: Dante has greater strength, speed, stamina, and durability than a normal human being. He is capable enduring most great impact forces with mild discomfort and can withstand superhumanly strong individuals more so than a normal human but still be harmed. He can move little over 50 mph and lift 1 ton even without strain. He is also known to last far long than any normal human being when going through strenuous or rigorous activities.
Pyro-Ionikinesis: Dante is capable of generating flames out of thin air and generally from his body alone. These flames are form of super heated plasma which he can control at will, generating concentrated blasts or fireballs, letting off heat waves of fire, and forming them into weapons. His pyro-plasmic abilities generate a heat strong enough to melt most metals and make it difficult for others to get close to him, especially since he is said to become hotter than lava and is granted heat immunity as a result.
+Pyroplasmic Regeneration: Due to his unique fire plasma he generates, Dante is capable of recovering missing limbs and healing other wounds, often though these take time to regrow and replace. The same can be said for the burns he gets after burning himself out.
+Flaming Rock Form: Due to the heat Dante produces, his body can be changed at will to resemble a molten rock, fiery golem state of himself leaving a blackened rock state in the area of flesh. This state is cracked and his eyes and mouth glow in a brilliant fiery state while the flames emanate from the cracks as well. But it is in this state that becomes blackened and burned out for long use of his powers or losing control.
+Limited Invulnerability: Though it's not a traditional sense of invulnerable, Dante's body generates heat to such an extent that most attacks burn up before they reach him or can do serious harm.
+Flight: By directing his flames downward Dante can create a jet propulsion that grants him limited flight.
Weaknesses:
+Dante's flames may not exactly hurt him and may be exceptional in their own right but he does face the issue of burning himself out and causing a need for him to rest for long periods.
+Dante also has little control of his powers which tend to flare up sometimes without him commanding it and sometimes the fire-plasma is triggered from his temper and anger alone proving to be a danger to others if they are not careful.
+Dante can be extremely stubborn, hard headed, and quick tempered, making him someone difficult to be around and to work with, much less he isn't someone you want as an enemy if you can't handle it
+Despite the heat and flames he generates, Dante's flames can be smothered out or large bodies of water tend to help cool him down.
