Personality: Corrine is first and foremost a woman who is kind, compassionate, and mainly quiet. She has always had a heart of gold and was raised to care about others and be kind. She is the type of person who is more likely to show a sweet, compassionate side towards many, even most strangers even if she does not know them. She is one who is willing to give that helping hand, to be that person who will lend her ear if they need someone to listen, and overall generally is your typical neighborhood friendly kind of gal. With also being quiet Corrine hardly seems much of the type to be angry or have a temper, and most often she just prefers to sit and listen rather than anything else.
But even as a soft-spoken individual, Corrine isn't above not being social. Now, she isn't a social butterfly but she can become quite boisterous when someone gets her going and she most often tells people what is on her mind, whether they like it or not. She generally can be blunt if necessary but she tries not to be harsh or hurt someone or talk over them. She tries to be considerate of others and generally will speak out and not allow someone to speak for her. But on the down side, Corrine can be incredibly stubborn and slightly argumentative, and on rare occasions can show a temper. But it takes a lot to get Corrine angry and annoyed, it just takes pushing the right buttons to bring out that anger which she won't be afraid to show.
Yet, Corrine could still be considering calm and level headed, mainly from the years of dealing with moving all her life and trying to help with two younger siblings growing up. She has patience that can wear thin but she tries not to show her negative emotions of being upset, angered, or annoyed and burden other people with such things. This young woman though is deeply loyal and protective, being the type who will lay her life on the line for those she cares for and rarely holds a grudge, but it's not unheard of.
Appearance: Corrine is a young woman who stands at 5'2" and three quarters in height and is in relatively decent shape. She is not utterly toned or muscular but is lean, strong, and agile with a small gut but not chubby. Her skin is olive-tan, almond shaped eyes, and rather youthful looking, resembling more of a teenager than a young adult in terms of appearance. She has full lips, solid dark brown eyes due to her mutation, and dark brown hair with lighter brown natural highlights, usually having it in a ponytail when long to cutting it slightly above the shoulders and often thinned. She is short in build with broad shoulders and slender features but is still fairly fit whereas in the past she was very different but has been making a change for the better. Her clothes usually involve t-shirts, jeans, shorts, and capris along with sneakers and flip flops though she will occasionally dress in a nice shirt or blouse, slacks, or loose dress pants and different shoes. She rarely, if ever, wears skirts or dresses unless needed.
As Silk Moth, Corrine wears a makeshift outfit of black nylon work out capris with a dark purple stripe down the side and large purple ban across the knees, black and purple sneakers, dark purple dri-fit shirt with two black stripes along the side seams, and sometimes a light dark blue jacket to hide her wings. Covering her eyes is a pair of dark tinted purple visor glasses that covers the top part of her face. Also visible is some older scars on some parts of her body and some tattoos. One tattoo on her right shoulder blade is a Marine bald eagle carrying a spider mum flower with smaller blue flowers around it, a small vine in an L shape with three blue forget-me-not flowers on her hip, and one on her foot is a purple and black winged butterfly on a small vine.

History:
At one point Corrine's life was relatively normal. Corrine's parents weren't together for long following her birth, the two divorcing when she was eight months old and causing her and her mother for the first seven years of her life to live in what was once her mother's family home with her grandparents allowing her to live there while she tried to get back on her feet. With her mother working two jobs at the time Corrine found herself often watched by her grandparents or by her aunt and uncle, allowing her to spend time with her cousins; though she became particularly close to her cousin Kaitlin, the two viewing the closest thing they had to sisters.
This however took a toll on her mother, especially since she was often gone for two to three days at a time and Corrine only getting to spend so much time with her mother. But this eventually changed thanks to her mother getting into contact with an old childhood who luckily knew of a place that was hiring at the time, being their ticket to leave Alaska and moving to San Antonio, Texas for a few months. This was a relatively short lived change that came as a result of her mother by chance reconnecting with an old school friend and crush, the two talking back and forth before Corrine once again found herself being moved to Florida where their whole life began to change. In fact, Corrine and her mother coming to St.Augustine, Florida was the start of a new life for them as the man, Will Voclain, took the two in and eventually rekindled their old romance and Will permanently becoming part of their lives.
From then on Corrine and her family started from almost nothing and gradually worked their way up in life. They moved from place to place often during her childhood, Will at the time working in the unpredictable environment of the dealership world where trust was rare and at best such jobs lasted a few years before the family was moving again. In her younger years though, Corrine didn't seem to mind it, merely taking it in stride as a young child as she remained shy but happy, not allowing the unseen issues get to her in the beginning. She quickly adapted each time, making friends in the neighborhoods they wound up living in, keeping good grades, playing, just doing the typical things for a child. But once the family moved to Lake City,Florida Corrine began to feel the weight of moving so much and never staying long in one area, becoming a target for bullying since her fourth grade year which would extend into her high school years despite moving often still.
The only upside was the family began to have some better luck with being able to move into actual houses, though often renting as an alternative to owning a home, her father working his way to a management position and her mother often working in accounting departments at the dealerships. But middle school and high school started to feel like a living hell as Corrine became all too aware of how much she didn't fit in, feeling like an outcast since she never knew anyone nor got close to anyone for long before life threw them a curve ball. She for some time became a quiet introvert, much preferring to be by herself to cope with the disappointment and stress of not fitting in. To add to it though, Corrine also over that span of time became an older sister to two younger siblings, her brother Caleb and baby sister Sandra.
Corrine grew up quicker than most children her age during this time, mainly as a way to better help with her siblings and at home, especially when her grandfather eventually came to live with them following a bout of cancer. Eventually though, Corrine did reach a time in her life she began to break from her introvert shell and began to become more like the person she is now in present day, mainly as a result of the bullying becoming enough and with getting close to becoming an adult by then. This change continued well after she graduated high school and the family moved once more to a small town outside Atlanta, Georgia where Corrine continued to be the new her, beginning her college courses online for a community college in Kansas before transferring to the University of West Georgia following in getting her AA degree and seeking to get her Bachelor's in Criminology.
Because of the job though, Corrine realized she also needed to get in better shape than what she was, having never been really active in her younger years aside from a short time of playing soccer and softball in middle school. Thus, she began exercising more and teaching herself some martial arts while landing a part-time job as Crime Scene Investigator for the APD while she did her studies. But things changed those three years ago when having dinner with her mother after work the two were ambushed by a few gang members seeking cash or other valuables, viewing the two as easy targets. When both refused to comply the men began trying to beat on the two women, and in the struggle Corrine saw her mom shot and injured in the side, causing her to become not only angered but worried, moving to protect her mother while unknowingly triggering her powers at last. From the tips of her fingers she fired her silk threads for the first time, ensnaring two of the goons while the rest took off with fear. Because of this encounter, Corrine realized she was a mutant, her powers coming in far later than normal for most mutants.
But from that night on, Corrine vowed not to let others meet a similar situation as her own. She began training her powers, working harder to get in better shape, and becoming what the Atlanta news called the "Atlanta Vigilante", acting to take matters in her own hands against the crime ridden city while also continuing her day job. Corrine recently though graduated from her university with her Bachelor's and double minor in Sociology and Psychology and greater control of her abilities after much trial-and-error for the past three years. But because of her continued vigilante career and recent graduation, she has made a decision to seek out a change of scenery and reaching out to some place that can help refine her skills, which happened when she took up membership and residence with the Avengers.
Super Powers:
Moth Physiology: Corrine has the slight appearance and powers of a moth, most specifically some related to the Saturniidae family, or giant silk moths. This has allowed her to have the following powers:
+Wing Manifestation: Corrine's wings resemble the Promethea Silkworm, sharing their color and shape along with their delicate, thin structure that grant her the ability to fly. As a result, her bones are lighter and hollow to allow her wings to lift her form and allow her for greater agility, dexterity, and acrobatics in the air compared to some. They spread roughly to ten feet when fully spread and allow her to fly up to 500 feet max.
+Antenna Protrusion: Due to her physiology, Corrine sports a pair of feather-like antenna upon her head that grant her some advantages over some humans. For one, they help in determining changes in air pressure, sensing electrical stimuli, and picking up on some frequencies, granting her a form of enhanced hearing and sometimes sight as a kind of echolocation. They also serve as a way of increasing her sense of smell based on pheromones given off by most creatures, allowing her to determine who or what they are and mood. But, these antenna can also serve as a kind of emotional expression, sometimes responding to Corrine's own emotions without her meaning to.
+Night Vision: Being that several moths are nocturnal, Corrine's eyes are adjusted to seeing in near-dark and total dark conditions to a point of how a normal persona would see things in daylight.
+Wall-Crawling: Corrine is capable of scaling most surfaces thanks to millions of tiny bristles on her hands and feet, which are known as tarsal claws due to their claw-like structures with an additional small sticky pad called a arolia, allowing for adhesive. These bristles allow her to grip into the microscopic irregularities in surfaces, even those of smooth ones.
+Silk Generation: In each of her fingers, Corrine has a pair of spinnerets or silk glands that allow her to produce silk made of fibroin, a sticky liquid protein, and sericin, a bonding agent that enables the silk to retain a solid, hardened structure so as to have some durability but remain sticky. Corrine can produce this naturally, usually in abundance when in good health or less so when in bad health, and can weave them into some different shapes, such as ropes, nets, or other shapes. This thread is actually quite durable and difficult to tear, and like most silk has a slight shine to it.
++Healing Cocoon: When facing a serious or near-fatal injury, Corrine's first instinct is to wrap herself up in a cocoon made from her own silk. This allows her to go into a hibernation state lasting up to three to five days and triggers her body's natural healing process to become accelerated and protected from physical attacks due to the thickness of the cocoon and durability of the threads.
+Neurotoxic Powder: Corrine's wings can also cast off a powder when startled or feeling in danger that can attack the nervous system, causing paralysis, dizziness, and causing one to feel ill, allowing for her to weaken them to attack or escape.
Weaknesses:
+Corrine's wings are visibly thinner and weaker than most flying mutants, which means they can be torn or ripped easily and take time to heal or can potentially be removed completely.
+Corrine's antenna can be highly sensitive to certain stimuli, which can prove incredibly painful depending on the electrical charge, smell, or frequency, which can be over stimulated and cause pain or disorientation.
+How strong her silk can can become or how much she produces depends on her physical well-being.
+Due to her eyes being more adjusted to nocturnal conditions, they are highly sensitive to light forcing her to have to wear dark lensed glasses or special contacts.
+Pesticides specifically aimed towards Moths have also been known to affect her, such as Naphthalene, certain natural oils like juniper, cedar, lavender, and mint, and some other pesticides.
+Corrine can also be stubborn, hot headed, and difficult in personality, making her sometimes difficult to work with or convince her to take a different action. But most times she will do what she feels is right and will not always consider the consequences.
