Free Style here: Bethany was born and raised in Albany New York. Her childhood was like that of any other child, good grades and chasing boys. Inbetween makeup and after school Bethany studied martial arts from her father's martial arts school. Her father preached martial arts and it was now she had met her mother. Having no boys in the family just meant her father treating her like a boy. At a young age Bethany completed in competitions, she normal came around the top three. As she got older competitions became a bit of a bore and she branched out into studying other fighting techniques. Her father at first disagreed, but when she turned to the streets to learn new fighting styles and techniques. Her father gave in and gave her what she wanted, but once in a blue moon she'd return to the streets to learn new styles.
Upon leaving school she Studied mechanics in college which came pretty natural to her, when she found something unknown, she break it down to basics and learn from it at its core. It was a gift she took from her mother who ran the business side of the family mechanic shop. In college she may not of been top of the class but she was among the top students. But with no longer living at home meant rent needed to be payed and food needed to be bought. Money became tight like any student, with few jobs going around she resorted to other methods to gain money from old contacts from the street. That method was street fighting and it wasn't long before she made a name for herself. But like her studies she broke her fights down and leaned from her mistakes. She'd study her opponents style and find there weakness like she did with her own. Soon the street fights were in the back of high end clubs for the rich. Even with the fighting she stuck to her studies.
With studies over Bethany found it hard to find work and once again turned to these street fights again in the clubs and it was after one of these fights that she was approached with a job offer of been a bodyguard to a Mark Dwain. The money offered was hard to resist, and as part of the contract she dropped the street fighting. It was within two years that Bethany was running the bodyguard detail for Mark and getting noticed by the larger community.
It was at a high profile gala for the rich were Bethany became noticed by Shield. It was a US state senator who was the target of Hydra, as Mark hide in the lady's toilets, she stayed to protect him and to do her job. Five men in Hydra armored suits attacked the gala with a small group of armed men, there taste for death was clear as they killed anyone insight and as one of these armoured men entered the toilet Bethany with two other men managed to surprise the armoured men by stabbing a knife into one of the joints. Take the Hydra agent out of the suit Bethany jumped in to it and lead a strike back at the attackers. With security and a handful of bodyguards Bethany lead the attack. Her plan of attack worked as she used the suit with help to hold the attackers long enough for Shield to arrive.
Bethany's quick thinking and ability to use an armoured suit got her an offer she couldn't refuse from Shield. At first she helped maintain Shield armoured suits and help run the missions, but before long she became a key member and apart of Shields Iron Legion .
