It had been a long day so far. It had all started with an angered powered person, their origins currently unknown, right after her interview for a CSI position there in the Big Apple. Then, there was handling the wounds her and Pietro Maximoff, the hero also known as Quicksilver, had gotten in the battle followed by his unexpected offer of joining the Avengers. She was still quite shocked at the suggestion but she had made it clear she needed time to think on it, already aware she had other concerns before she could consider it. Right now though, she had been escorting him back to Avengers Tower to ensure he was avoiding trouble and made it back safely. Of course, she had paused to grab her pack she had left in the nearby alley and was currently in a speechless state after entering the tower. This place was...well, it was fancy and high tech. There was nothing like it that she could ever think of and left her dumbfounded at the inside. Marble, metal, and glass shaped around a highly advanced, technological infrastructure that would have made most computer wizes die of envy and shock...or that's what she felt would happen. The lobby though wasn't what made her jaw drop. Rather, it was the living room that the Avengers tended to occupy several stories up, which had made Corrine's eyes widen and her jaw probably would be at the floor by now if it were possible after stepping off the elevator. " Holy shi...I can't believe you guys live here on a daily basis Pietro! Can you imagine how many people would kill to have this?!" Corrine finally spoke up towards the speedster, removing her visor glasses and rubbing her eyes to make sure what she was seeing wasn't a dream. But when her eyes focused it certainly confirmed for sure that the Avengers probably had it all. The place was well furnished, full of various luxuries, a huge flat screen, a stairway to one of the kitchens, a bar nearby, and lord only knew what else. She almost felt...underdressed now that she thought about it. These guys were equipped with some of the most up-to-date gadgets, probably extensively thought out suits, and all other essentials. Corrine though was hardly there, at best her "suit" was make shift and meant for quick changes when she was out and about, with maybe the occasional thing was her pistol or borrowing her family's Smith and Wesson hang guns they owned. Though, that was mainly because Atlanta wasn't exactly a utopia and not everyone was exactly friendly, mean they had shoot outs on the highway for crying out loud. " You guys really seem to have it all." She spoke aloud, not initially thinking before she spoke but quickly rubbed the back of her neck, " Mean it's not a bad thing of course." She added towards the speedster, although she had no idea of knowing if any of the other Avengers were around. Honestly, she felt a bit out of place and self-conscious now if there were. She was not with a highly made suit and she had always been content to remain in Atlanta to handle the local issues there. The question that really was making her hesitant was that was she truly ready to go "big time"? Notes:This is a follow up thread from Raging Infero and is taking place at Avengers Tower, so I'm just tagging all Avengers for anyone interested in joining besides Corrine Voclain and Pietro Maximoff Tags:Pietro Maximoff , Jamie Starflame , Johnny Storm , @richardrider , @marvell , @adaheart (I just tagged these down the line from Members list, no set order yet but some responses are directed at Pietro and others are free to answer)

Sue sat in the back seat of her private white helicopter with the word storm and a blue family crest with two fish on a shield at the rear of the body of the helicopter. Normal she'd come by car but the CEO of her company had instructed her to use the helicopter or it be taken off her. She had to admit it was nice having someone else doing the flying once in a while. Touching down on the landing pad Sue gave a pat to the shoulder of the pilot as a thanks for the ride and only when he lifted his hand did Sue open the door to step out. Regular woman would hold the hair down to prevent the air flow of the helicopter blade sending their hair in all directions. But Sue had a different strategy and that was her force fields to keep in down. As her high heels clicked across the the landing pad, she also kept a weak field around her ladies business suit and prevent her pencil skirt from rising. Chance of the pencil skirt rising was slim, but she was not taking risks. Once she was within a safe limit the helicopter took of and head off to a new destination.
Sue held her laptop close as she made her way into the tower and towards the main living area. She couldn't help but wonder if Johnny was in the tower or out been himself. Even at his age she worried about him and his safety. As she entered the main living area she gave her navy business suit a little fix as she entered. It was that moment she noticed Pietro and his guest,
" Who's your guest," Sue asked as she made her way over to shake hand," Well I'm Sue either way it's nice to meet you."

Pietro couldn’t help but chuckle at the look on Corrine’s face; it had been the same with himself and Wanda when they arrived at the Avenger’s building. This was something else. The Avenger’s building was a beacon of hope much like any other building that was in New York City like Lady Liberty or the Empire State building. But if you really wanted to feel like you were at peace you could come here.
“You know Wanda and I had the same reaction Corrine. We stood in your spot a couple of months ago gazing up at this building like you are now.” Pietro added. It wasn’t long before he noticed someone else’s arrival as they entered from a helicopter. It was another Avenger but one he probably had only met once or twice.
As they came closer to where they were, Pietro looked up noticing it was a woman arriving and she looked as if she had arrived upon business. But after looking at her a bit closely, it looked like someone that he had met another time in the Avengers building. He couldn’t quite think of who the person was, but he was sure he’d figure it out, or these questions would simply answer themselves.
“It’s nice to see you again Sue.” He said giving the older woman a soft nod. “This is Corrine. I we ran into each other, just a little while ago.” He explained holding his injured burned arm from the incident with someone named Inferno. “We were fighting a guy called in Inferno, He gave us a fight but Corrine managed to stop it before things got worse or out of control. To be honest I don’t really know what set him off like that.” Pietro explained as the others started to arrive one by one.
Today was so clear out and nice looking compared to the events that had just happened. No one would’ve suspected that a fight between a villain and a couple of super heroes had just taken place. There were only a few bruises and burns that were on their bodies that stood out on them. Wanda was probably not going to forgive him if she saw him like this. He knew he might as well face it sooner or later before hiding it. The twins would have a talk but he knew that she would believe him. After all it was a part of the business that came with the super hero identities. And in speaking of fire, Pietro couldn’t help but notice as he looked up as someone else was entering the scene as well from above.

For the most part, Johnny had been home, he was lucky enough to have a day or two off from going to college where he could relax or go out and do his own thing. Of course he hadn’t for gotten his homework. He had slept in that morning since he felt like he needed it and was about to head down stairs to go ahead and get some breakfast after getting dressed. But before he could really get any further he couldn’t help but notice that some activity was going on outside as a helicopter arrived. Usually they had the Quinn jet to go to different areas for missions if the Avengers are needed they’d go with them. But this was different.
As he got closer to the window he couldn’t help but notice that there was something familiar about the helicopter. As the woman stepped out he recognized her right away, and it was hard to miss the way she looked. “Is that Sue?” He asked. Unable to contain himself with excitement he opened up a window, the people down below would’ve probably thought he was going to be crazy for doing this next part, but he trusted his powers. After climbing out, and holding on with one hand, he jumped but before he could fall his body burst into a familiar like flame form, “Flame on!” He called out as his body burst into flames. Some of the women down below screamed from surprise but they only realized it was Johnny Storm or the Human Torch as he was better known by.
He chuckled a bit from their shock knowing it was harmless at first, and he went to go over to see what was going on and to see why Sue was there as well. As he started to descend he could see that Sue wasn’t alone either. There were at least two other people there that he hadn’t seen all that much. Then again he didn’t know everyone at the Avengers building.
“Well they say three is a crowd, so four must be a really, really big crowd. Who’s the new girl at the Avengers building?” He asked pointing with one finger towards Corrine with curious eyes. He then turned over to his sister half wondering how she’d react to him, it had been awhile since the siblings had seen each other, but apparently they weren’t the only two siblings on the Avengers, there were other family members also. “And heay Sue, long time no see.” He explained as his flames danced around him almost as if they had minds of their own, but he was careful not to let the others feel the heat or get burned by accident. He was a bit more cautious than Dante had been.

Corrine turned back towards Pietro, wondering how him and his sister lived with this all this time or were already use to it. This was far more luxurious than she had ever seen anyone live, feeling like she really did feel out of place, though she did take some comfort in knowing perhaps some of the others hadn’t lived like this all their lives either. She could only imagine what the rest of the place looked like if the lobby and main living area was anything to go by. Was ever part of the tower this lavished looking or where there some that appeared to be on the less lavished side instead?
“I don’t know how you could be used to this so fast.” She admitted to the speedster, wondering if he needed to stop by an infirmary or something first to get his wounds looked at better. Not that she got to contemplate saying something as someone else was soon making their way in, Corrine’s attention drawn to the landing pad outside of which was making a commotion. Coming from it she could see a rather well-dressed business woman stepping from it and a closer look at the helicopter she had stepped from showed the name “Storm” on the side, making her wonder who this person was. And seemed Pietro was likewise curious at first as the woman made her way inside and arriving to see them and inquiring about something Corrine was wondering herself.
“Pleasure to meet you as well Sue, and as Pietro already said my name is Corrine. “ Corrine added, shaking the woman’s hand with her own but being careful of her bandaged knuckles. They still stung and the slight movement made her grimace a little, although she mainly ignored the slight pain as someone else made their way down, asking the same thing as Sue. From his greeting of Sue though she could figure this was another Avenger and probably the two knew each other well. But to see three Avengers before her made Corrine quiet for a moment in awe, wondering what Sue herself could do since that wasn’t as apparently as Pietro’s or Johnny’s, who seemed like he was a pyrokinetic like Dante was, only more in control of himself.
But it couldn’t hurt to add her own imput about what was going on. “As me and Pietro were telling Sue, my name is Corrine, flames. But I also go by Aegis where I’m from.” Corrine said, briefly checking her ionic gases of which were billowing with enough that she could do a demonstration, focusing on the gases exuding from her form and causing them to begin altering shape around her. It didn’t take long for her to form her exoskeleton, coming six inches off her body and having that glass-like transparency of which Corrine was more than happy to show off a bit. “The name is for obvious reasons of course.” She said.
But on the thought with Dante Corrine couldn’t help realizing the young man had gotten away, making her frown slightly. “I still wish we had the energy to have gone after him and stopped him from hurting someone else. For whatever reason he was after three teenagers, they looked like hooligans but there was no reason he should have tried to roast them alive, much less innocent civilians.” She said, wondering what the teenagers had said to trigger the young man. “But if that wasn’t a shock of the day, Pietro had the bright idea of me becoming part of the Avengers as well.” She decided to add, giving a quick glance of uncertainty towards the speedster.

"Well it seems we have a visitor." Rick Jones said as he walked into the room from a staircase leading from an upper level. He has a mischievous smile on his face and appeared to be in a particular good mood. He wore jeans and a black T shirt with red letters that said "If it's too F@#$in loud, you are too f#$%in old." His eyes went to Corrine immediately just as she was putting up her exoskeleton.
"That's pretty impressive." he said. "I bet it works well when I guy gets a little 'handsy" on a first date."
Rick turned to Pietro and smiled broadly.
"I always knew you were a fast worker man but to get her to come back to your Avenger's pad so quickly...well done!" He gave Quicksilver the thumbs up signal.
"But I am forgetting my manners. I am Rick Jones, Corrine, it's a pleasure to meet you."
He extended his hand and then looked down at it wondering if she would be able to shake hands with him.

Sue frowned at Rick's comment, there was a way to treat visitors and this wasn't the way. Turning to Rick, Sue kept her frown and unhappy look,
" Behave," she spoke as she placed a hand on Johnny's shoulder. It was her way of keeping control and saying hello to her brother." You'll treat are guests with a bit more respect." Her attention quickly shifted to Johnny and this time she had an annoyed look over her face. With a finger pointed she spoke as if his mother," As for you, you've been getting sloppy and I want to see mission reports from you. "
Taking her jacket off, Sue revealed a sleeveless white blouse as she hung the jacket over the side of the chair. She held her hand out to the the newcomer and Pietro.
" Pietro, I want a full report on everything that happened but before the night sets and as for you my dear.," as Sue sat down she continued to hold her hand out," I can tend your wounds if you wish."

Jamie who was training at moment decided to take a break from it for awhile as she removed her weighted training gear. She made sure she was looking nice so her teammates won't worry about her so much She then decided to walk down the stairs and saw a lot of her teammates in one spot and this new girl. She was curious of what was going on so she decided to investigate this and heard what Rick just said and raised a brow " Yeah you behave," She said To Rick and then looked towards Corrine and give her a smile" Hello Miss I am Jamie Starflame " She puts out her hand for her to shake. She looked really tired at moment from how hard she been pushing herself to the limit.
She was assuming that is must be a new teammate or something it will be great to have new member of the family. She stood there waiting for everyone else to speak at moment. She wasn't much of talker unless you spoke to her first she mostly likely just stop and listen first then respond. The Rockstar persona wasn't her true self it was someone she pretended to be because she wanted he life as hero a secret for the safely of the fans and friends outside of the team she cared so much about.

"Mission Reports? B-But I just woke up from sleeping in from a hard week's worth of school. Can't I take a...oh fine." Johnny said with a sigh as Sue had grabbed him by the shoulder as he put out the flames in that area before she could hurt him like that. As he quickly landed near the others, he had wondered why Sue was acting like this...well maybe it was true they needed to work a bit better on how they treated their guests. Perhaps this hadn't been the nicest way of doing it either. They were just big jerks... Weren't there?
"Wait there was someone else with fire powers there? You should've told me!" Johnny said with a frown knowing he could've been useful or even contained the heat for them if needed. But it seemed like they had things under control. But as he listened, Jamie and Rick came forward, two more additional members of the Avengers. It appeared as if a lot of new members had arrive within the last couple of weeks, himself being one of them.
"I'm not that bad compared to others, Miss Corrine, it may have taken me awhile to get used to my powers, but I'd never burn down a building or anything like that...that's just wrong in so many ways." Johnny said hoping that Dante hadn't given her a bad rep for fire power users. He quickly put out his own flames, seeing that there were others coming and he didn't want to hurt them.
"And in case you haven't noticed this is my big sister Sue Storm." He said with a soft smile. He wasn't doing it in a mocking tone, in fact, he was quite happy to see that they were able to finally do something together. Even if it was boring reports...last time he actually did something on the job was against a bank robbery...but weren't those pretty common? "Well I know you're not going to like this Sue, but the last thing I did was on Wednesday when someone had been trying to rob them. I melted them to the floor." Johnny said taking a bit of pride in that too.

"Well fast is my middle name, Rick. But I shouldn't take all the credit, Corrine was the one who thought of how to beat Dante, so most of the credit goes to her." Pietro said noticing how Jamie, Sue, Johnny and Rick all came to the scene at once. It amazed him at how big the Avengers were right now, but they still had plenty of more room to obtain new members. Perhaps Corrine was the first one.
"It's a bit of a long story, I know I arrived late on the scene...." Pietro said as he shifted a bit nervously as he tried to collect it all into his thoughts. It really had been a rather fast fight. "I remember hearing on the news that there was a reports of fire breaking out so I went to investigate. By then, Corrine had come on scene trying to help out with the other humans to get them to safety. I distracted Dante for awhile before being knocked off my feet and burned slightly, but Corrine finished him off by knocking him into the sewers below." Pietro felt as if he were using his fast talk again as he tried to calm himself down. He knew it was a lot to cover and sSue had to understand what he said. Going fast was going to be a problem.
I think that pretty much wraps it up, but I think Corrine can get her part of the story too if she wants." Pietro offered as he looked back at her with a soft smile, the two really had done well despite some minor injuries. "I am sorry if I went too fast, I can write it down next time." Puetro offered towards Sue. "Sure you can check our injuries. The EMT's did the best they could with them." Pietro added as he carefully removed the bandage as he winced a bit. "Ok that hurt a little. He confessed to the others, he knew he had already protested a few times already towards Corrine and that got him no where.
"They're mostly burn injuries, but you might see that easily." Quicksilver added.

One by one more of the Avengers were arriving, causing Corrine to be quite shocked at how a fair number were there to form such a group, The Avengers had been slowly making a name for themselves and proving together they could accomplish quite a bit, which made her a little self-conscious to be among them but she tried her best to hide it. Her first attention went to the man calling himself Rick Jones, a ghost of a smile forming on her lips as she listened to Sue and Jamie tell the man to behave. "Don't worry about the manners." She assured the three, her exoskeleton dispelling as she extended her hand to shake Rick's then Jamie's but quickly casting her dark brown eyes back towards Rick.
"Oh, it would do wonders to make a man, or woman, think twice about trying something Mr.Jones. Though, I think they would be trying to get over the embarrassment of being knocked on their ass from a punch to their pearly white teeth or being thrown over a short woman's shoulder." Corrine explained, a hint of teasing and amusement in her tone but soon turning to the rest but keeping Rick in sight as well. "Still, it's nice to meet you Jamie and Johnny, I've been hearing a lot about the Avengers since I met Pietro. Last time we only toured the lower floors when he showed me the tower but this time I made sure he got back here without avoiding further trouble. Already had it twice when he came across me." Corrine chuckled, recalling the man the speedster had run into by mistake.
Though she was surprised to hear Johnny and Sue were related, taking a moment to observe the two siblings and seeing the resemblance after a moment. It seemed Pietro and the Storms were all part of a sibling team up at some point or other and she couldn't help being reminded of her own siblings. In speaking of which, she did wonder how her own family was doing since she knew they worried, especially in a place such as this which was New York.
But she snapped back to the conversation, listening as Sue spoke to Johnny and Pietro in needing reports something of which she wouldn't exactly look forward to if she did join the Avengers. "Trust me, I think it got hot enough with this Dante guy being there." She told them, recalling how he had spoken and acted. "We can't say for sure what he was in terms of getting his powers but it seemed like he saw humans beneath him, worth killing without a second thought or listening to reason." Corrine frowned slightly, concentrating on her memories for a moment, "He seemed angry, like his raging inferno of flames was literally his anger in physical form so I did what I thought best and made sure he could cool down." Corrine finished before she glanced at her bandaged knuckles.
She merely gave a smile and shook her head, "I'll be fine Ms.Storm, but thank you. I can handle some bruised and split knuckles." She assured her. Though as she spoke, the young woman was aware of her phone going off, switched into silent but with the vibrate on just in case it was important but for now she paid it no mind knowing she could always tell her parents she was busy.

Rick smiled at Corrine and spread his hands out in a defensive gesture.
"I have no doubt that you have broken a few hearts, wrists and shoulders in your day."
She seemed like she had some street smarts, and more than a sense of humour than Sue. Sue seemed to take stuff a little seriously, but she had a lot of responsibilities. If they made you that up tight she could keep them.
"But please call me Rick...Mr. Jones makes me fell old or something. In any event, welcome to the Avengers Tower. If there is anything I can do to make your stay more pleasant please don't hesitate to ask."
The team was shaping up in some pretty unique ways. It was kind of weird being the only one without any real powers, but his alter ego made up for that. Trick now was to make sure that they actually functioned as a team, not just a group of heroes. They all had unique powers and it would take some time to find out the ways they would best mesh together. Well it would would be fun seeing how it all played out...as long as nobody got killed.

Sue sat back while looking towards Pietro and then the rest of the team,
" Well with me now been part of the team, " Sue spoke as a bottle of water floated across the room and into her hand, " I have begun to invest some of my company's money into the team. With this investment will some updated equipment and also a new medical research lab twice the original size. I also got my people to do some research in all of your biology and abilities. So Mr Pietro if you wouldn't mind running to the medical bay you will find on the third shelf, second on the right an unopened case with your name on it with medical supplies specially designed for you. If you'll bring it to me I'll tend to your wounds."
Like second nature Sue used her powers to open the lid on the bottle, then as she reached her hand out a glass came into the palm of her hand from which she poured the bottle of water into.
" Forgive me for hitting to the punch," Sue questioned as she crossed her legs, " What exactly is your abilities sweet ?"

"Sounds like a good idea." Pietro said knowing his injuries could probably heal after a week or so with him being careful. Unlike several of the other members of the Avengers, he didn't have a healing factor so he had to be careful on certain injuries. Sure his body could withstand a few blows, but Pietro was never out of the woods fully when it came to being hurt. He could be hurt just like anyone else.
He heard Sue give out directions that he did best with to try to memorize. As he said it, he was pretty sure he was correct on what it was, "So it's Third shelf, second on the right, got that also." He said and like a speeding bullet, or even faster than one he quickly sped off towards the medical bay. It wasn't long before he arrived back there and followed Sue's directions. Just as she said he found the package, and with his good arm he took them before heading back towards the others where they'd still be gathered. This probably took him less than five minutes, or even one minute if he was lucky.
"I got it, didn't take me any time at all." He said as he had the package still and wrapped tightly, despite him going so fast with that speed, it appeared that he hadn't caused any damage to it as he sat it down on one of the nearby tables. Everyone was still there from the looks of things. Which wasn't a surprise at all for him.
It sounded like a deep conversation was going on, but Pietro was glad to see that the others were getting along so well. Sure some teams argued a lot, but the Avengers were so diverse and different that it made up for that. And they did have their disagreements, but they usually subsided after managing to find some compromises.
He was sure he heard Sue asking about Corrine's powers. He probably couldn't explain it very well on what she did. But Corrine knew her powers better than anyone else did here.

"Wow it sounds like that guy was bad. I know I've burned stuff before but usually it was by accident or when I was still learning how to control my powers. Fire powers are probably one of ones that you can loose control with and it becomes a disaster, no offense Jamie." He said knowing that fire powers could easily loose your temper or even cause damage to a lot of things pretty dark quickly. But it looks like Dante was taken care of even before most of the Avengers got onto the scene. But still it seemed like they were sorta there when Pietro arrived being an Avenger himself, he had also done it to help out his new friend Corrine when he saw that she was there as well.
"Well it sounds like they handled themselves very well if you ask me. But say, Corrine are you really interested in becoming an Avenger? I think you'd got a spot on the team already." Johnny said with some eagerness and he was glad to see that a new member was joining already. The Avengers were becoming well known now and nothing was stopping them from becoming possibly one of the best teams around...at least that's what Johnny thought anyways. There were probably some teams that could equally match them like the X-Men or SHIELD. But who knew at this point?
"If you did see that Dante is out, next time I want to tango with him to see who the better fire power user is." Johnny said flexing his muscles a bit as if to show that he was ready to fight, even if Sue didn't appreciate it. It was because of her help that he had managed to get onto the team in the first place. And he wanted to spend more time with her too and it seemed that this was a helpful way of doing things here.
"But it looks like just about everyone's here. I think we've got the whole gang at this point." Johnny added wondering if there were other potential candidates out there who'd eventually join the Avengers. Heay, anything was possible at this point in time. Maybe they were just waiting for the right time to come on without having to worry or they were nervous. That was understandable too. Still he was excited and wanted to listen to what Corrine had to say about what had happened, or even about explaining her powers too.
