Personality: Caleb is normally like your typical teenage. He is known to be very head strong, social, and quite out-going, almost to the point he seems to be worried about a social life more than anything. But, this social side shows a charismatic, friendly side that tends to draw people towards him and Caleb making friends with others with relative ease, if even having very few enemies despite his high school years. In fact, he is the type of person who is fairly out spoken and is quite likely to say what is on his mind, talking almost non-stop much to the chagrin of some people. Though, he is generally quite laid back, goofy, and overall just likes to talk about anything and everything, from the most serious of things to the most random subject. He even sometimes shows a side that gets side tracked and may at times forget what he was talking about or doing when he is distracted, tending to not always focus on one thing at a time.
But, Caleb can be a little head strong and stubborn, something that seems to run in the Voclain and Burnes family, and which can also be seen in his older and younger sister. He can sometimes show a difficult personality to the point he gets frustrated, irritated, or angered easily by some things and tends to prefer to do something himself without having to always rely on someone else. Caleb has that teenage aspect of him where he is trying to find his own independence and can be something of a pain to be around or work with. He is competitive, vocal, and combative at times, even to the point he tends to not always choose his battles carefully. His actions and mouth are sometimes faster than his brain and he doesn't exactly have a filter for his mouth either. Nevertheless, Caleb has been known to be difficult to dissuade from his thoughts and can just be as fierce, protective, and stubborn as anyone in his family.
Unfortunately, Caleb has gone through a little bit of a change of personality thanks to Department H from Canada that got a hold of him before handing him over to OsCorp. Caleb has in fact gotten a darker, more serious personality where he tends to let his more negative feelings speak above his positive. He rebuffs people and is colder in tone and in how he acts, usually not interested in anything other than causing issues for society and putting regular humans in their place, having gotten a superiority complex from brain washing and rewiring of his thoughts. He is still social, stubborn, and competitive but also more obedient and radical in his thoughts, often of which he shows as Kinetic but seems his normal self when out of costume. Though, this is mainly to put on an act.
Appearance: Caleb is a young man standing at 6'11" and little over 240 lbs of mainly muscle, though he does have some fat to him but nothing that can be maintained. Overall, he is in fairly good shape, being somewhat toned and is more on the broad side in the chest and shoulders. He has a rather handsome face with sharp facial features with deep blue0green eyes, slightly pale fair skin, and dark brown hair of which tends to get curly when long but Caleb will sometimes slick it back or have it short, and when it gets long enough he sometimes puts it in a man bun. And like any kid, Caleb has some childhood scars covering his body but has a visible scar on his chest from surgery to fix his Pectus Excavatum.
Caleb's clothes style is typically t-shirts, loose shorts, and sneakers, often what he finds comfortable and not form fitting. He will also wear cut-sleeve or sleeveless shirts, long jeans, and many times wear plaid shirts or nicer clothing as a formal casual or formal attire. His usual favorite is a tux with James Bond-styled black shoes. As Kinetic, his suit has been created to look like this. (Note the picture is for another character of mine but still similar concept.)

History: Caleb was born the second child of the Voclain family, behind his half-sister Corrine and being four years older than their youngest sister Sandra. He was born shortly after his mother and sister arrived in Florida to live with his father Will, being born later that year in December. Unfortunately, Caleb faced the same issue as his older sister and family in never really staying in one place for long periods of time, often moving around due to the uncertainty of his father’s job. Though most of this was during the time when Caleb was a baby and his younger years.
Nevertheless, this didn’t stop him from still being a happy-go-lucky kid who often reminded his family of his late uncle James, whom he gets his middle name from. Unlike his older sister who began to struggle with moving all the time, Caleb seemed to pay it no mind and generally liked to explore his new surroundings and often was like any other kid his age. He played in the pools they sometimes had, running around outside, playing in the dirt, and befriending children in the neighborhood sometimes close to his age. While the family lived in Lake City, Florida, Caleb began going to pre-school while his sister started middle school here and his baby sister was born soon after.
Before long though, the family moved to Thomasville, Georgia where they began the cycle again, Corrine finishing her middle school years and first semester of high school here while Caleb was here for some of his elementary years. Once again though, the family uprooted and moved two more times before they came to settle in a smaller suburb near Atlanta, Georgia, in time for Caleb to finish his final elementary school year here while his youngest sister Sandra started her own elementary school years here. But it would finally be in this suburb that the family settled, with Corrine going to a college a couple of hours away while Caleb and Sandra continued their schooling here.
Throughout the next five years, Caleb began seeking to finding his own independence and began branching out in his interests. He settled into orchestra playing the cello and violin, being unable to really play sports thanks to his surgery back when he was nine for the medical problem to his chest. But, his mother soon looked into other non-contact sports, pointing her son towards track and throwing sports, which Caleb quickly began taking up. But at twelve, Caleb to have the scare along with his younger sister and father of his oldest sister and mother being attacked in Atlanta one night, though his sister’s manifestation of her mutant abilities brought awe and relief for the family. And it was in the next following years Caleb would be the only one to know aside from Sandra of their sister’s dual identity as Aegis.
In recent times, though, things have gone from easy-going and relatively happy for the family to one of utter horror and grief. Five months after turning fifteen, Caleb was participating in a track meet for a local team when him and close friend were jumped suddenly in the parking lot when retrieving something from the back of his parents’ van. Caleb’s friend was knocked out while Caleb himself was taken by the agents of Department H, drugging him and taking him to their labs. Unknowing that they had figured out Corrine’s real identity, they decided to act in testing the DNA of the Voclain family and began working to make Caleb manifest his powers far earlier where as his younger sister had tested as baseline human.
After a month of torture and experiments, Caleb’s own kinetic field manifested and he was given a new suit, codename, and brainwashed with only part of his personality remaining. Once it was clear Caleb was now under their thrall, he has his services sold to OsCorp, who had plans to try their own experiments and tests to see what they could get out of a mutant.
Super Powers:
Kinetic Energy Exoskeleton: Caleb can generate a field of kinetic energy that is much like an exoskeleton coming off four inches from his body and is not quite visible to the human eye. The exoskeleton is a field that serves as a personal defense for Caleb that he psionically summons at will and is “charged” by kinetic energy he himself generates or when he is struck by a moving object. Thus, at most his field can last up to a few hours, a day, or three days in total, depending on how much he has moved or its charge can be weak or strong also based on much he has moved or how much kinetic energy he has absorbed. When struck with an outside source, the field briefly shows a dark red hue.
+Kinetic Energy Absorption: Caleb is capable of absorbing outside kinetic energy, either from a direct strike to his form or to the field itself that can add to the charge of his exoskeleton. The origin of where the strike comes from against the field is evenly distributed to help alleviate discomfort that Caleb may feel.
+Deflection/Redirection: Caleb can use the kinetic energy of a physical object against itself, either by absorbing the kinetic energy of said object and reversing it back to it’s origin with the same speed as before or literally altering the objects trajectory by manipulating the inertia given off by that object as it collides with his field and changing it’s path.
+Kinetic Discharges: Much like his sister’s own discharges, Caleb can trigger his own discharges based on the amount of force he puts behind a collision. Thus, he must have something solid to either land on, hit, kick, or throw himself against to trigger kinetic shockwave that can be as strong as a grenade to being able to cause a mini earthquake within roughly twenty feet of himself. But by doing so directly from his feet, he is capable of limited jet propulsion by “ricocheting” off solid objects.
+Kinetic "Skating": Caleb can also concentrate kinetic energy to his feet to ride the energy, appearing as if he skates on the energy itself. This can be used with or without the exoskeleton but works best when he is using the exoskeleton and where his powers are usually at their strongest.
Weaknesses:
+Though Caleb’s exoskeleton is a good defense, it can protect only Caleb and cannot be projected any further than the four inches from his body.
+Caleb finds some invulnerability with the use of his exoskeleton from physical objects but energy/elemental attacks still harm him and physical objects can harm him if the exoskeleton is not up.
+In speaking of which, the exoskeleton does not automatically activate, Caleb must consciously summon it around his body for it to properly work and he must have had some movement for it to even have a weak charge.
+Caleb’s exoskeleton also acts as an extension of his body, which means despite not actually being harmed by physical attacks, he still feels some backlash of discomfort from the field.
+As of right now, he also suffers from a conflict of his psyche, flashing between his original self and his brainwashed state at the hands of Department H, struggling to find his identity once more.
