Kaine had only returned to New York a few weeks ago after the incident with Ultron. Those ideas and nightmares still hit him hard, as he remembered what he said. “You’re a cockroach; the Scarlet Spider I knew was so full of guilt.” He said as it taunted him, and continued to plague him on what Ultron said. Well there was a news flash, he had underestimated him and as well as Alice. The fight had been a tough one and it took him a long time to recover, even with his healing factor helping him. But he had new fresh scars on his body from that fight, just reminding him that he had lived.
Scarlet knew he couldn’t exactly help his parents that day when the plane crashed either. He was 10! A 10 year old could probably barely fend for himself at that point. Sighing he looked up from the small room apartment that he entered noticing that the light was shimmering in announcing that morning had arrived once more. “Aw man, I just want to sleep.” He said to himself feeling his stiff back from sleeping like that. He moved a bit as he felt his body starting to wake up.
He thought about Sue, she had really been the only one that he had been friends with lately. He had really no friends to speak of since he spent most of his time alone. But he sighed, he still had a job to do with her, and that was eventually to hand over the information on the Dark Syndicate. Next time he heard from her, he’d at least be in the same city as her apartment…and hopefully SHIELD wouldn’t be knocking on her door because of him. That was one thing that he hated, no matter where he went, he always caused trouble or hurt someone he cared for…
“Wonder what’s going on with the city today.” He said as he got up finally and stretched a bit so he could feel his own blood flow again. He put on his suit and ate a fast breakfast before going outside and clung to the wall of the building. So far it was pretty quiet from the looks of things. People were heading to work and school, not one of them seemed to have an idea that he was above them. But so far his spidey sense wasn’t going off, so he had no reason to be cautious, at least not yet anyways. “And it looks like Scarlet Spider’s back in New York.” He muttered to himself as he used his webbing to jump to a nearby building…Someone may have seen that, but he didn’t really care.

It was a regular day for Miles, hanging up by the school entrance looking at his phone getting another text message from 'her' again. Spider-Woman "Ugh again.." he sighed wondering what this was about now, but Miles already knew. With his both straps over his shoulders tightly enough to not have his backpack loose along the way. With his hood up and walking along the streets and alleyways. He looked back and sees he was surrounded by thugs. Shaking his head and sighing the thug went up to him only to point a knife at his face, along with his two buddies behind him. "Hand over your money kid.." Miles looked at him with a raised eyebrow seeing he had places to be and things to do. With one electrified index finger he touched the thug's hand and he went into a seizure like shock, as if he was tasered and dropped to the ground.
With a his finger pointed like a gun to the other goons he gave them the best Clint Eastwood glare he could then told them. "Do you feel lucky, well do ya...punks?" he said having them scared out their minds after what they seen happen to their buddy. They ran outta there with their tails between their legs. With a sigh, he saw the guy on the ground knocked out cold and drooling. "Hey!! Gurgle if you are okay..." he said as he was blinking then hops over him leaving him there temporarily paralyzed. Nodding and heading to the spot that he needed to be, the same spot he been going to for weeks, for months..he doesn't know but the weird thing was that he doesn't know why he keeps doing this meeting up with Jessica to talk him into being Spidey.
In front of a building he cloaks himself with that handy camo ability he got and quietly ran up the wall so nobody would notice hopping over the ledge with a leap and nailing the landing with ease, the real spidey would be proud. Sighing he knew it, Jess wasn't here but a envelope was a large one. Miles looking back and forth seeing if no one was watching him on the rooftop hopefully wasn't a villain or a hero...knowing it'll probably be more likely a hero to show up and surprise him. Back to the envelope he opened it seeing it as a note. Reading it said;
"A few years is a really long time, think of all the people you could've saved..."
Miles immediately crumpled the note then dropped it to his feet stomping on it grinding the soles of his sneakers graphite solid rooftop. Growling and seeing it as a note that sounds a lot like a guilt trip to be forced upon. This was gonna be the last time SHIELD and Jessica trying him to come back and be their little Spider-Boy that works for them, but "not" really.
"No....no no no.. never again."

As Scarlet sat there on the side of the roof he felt his spidey sense go off, that was nothing knew as for most spider heroes it usually meant that there was danger nearby. He looked around from his perched area noticing that some guys were running away down one of the streets. They were scared of something. He could make things a lot worse for them but he wasn't going to waste his time with punks like those. They were just petty thieves. Eventually the law would catch up to them in no time at all. The police would catch them whether or not a spider hero was here, he could just tell since they were nothing but talk.
"Stupid punks. Can't even handle being scared for five minutes." He said as he crossed his arms for a bit rather amused at how they ran like that.
However he flinched again as he felt his spidey sense go off, this one had been a lot worse compared to the last one. He turned around realizing that he was now no longer the only one on the roof top. He was sharing it with someone else. He raised one eye to look up to see where this person had been. It was just a kid! Why on earth was his spidey sense going off because of him? Well, as he ruled out the possibilities, was it by chance that he scared these guys? It was possible. Scarlet watched him for a bit as the kid stomped down a piece of paper into the dust. Clearly he was angry about something...Welcome to his world!
Scarlet sighed, he was curious to see why his spidey sense went off because of his kid. Clearly he was something different, that was at least the first thought he came up with on this. If he had made them run like that, maybe he shouldn't be underestimated either. As he jumped onto the concrete roof he climbed over to the one water tower to get a better look at Miles. "Who are you talking too, punk? It surely isn't me, and it isn't those thugs that are running away with their tails tucked between their legs either. So who is it?" He asked almost wondering if he could get a bit more out of him using his stingers. But he remembered the thought back to Sue. She had asked him not to hurt anyone....well so far he had managed to keep that promise the last time he had seen her. But as his saying went, with great power, came no responsibilities.

Miles was just looking at the dirty note he stomped to the ground it was something that he had to do. With a sigh he tugged his hood over his head some more to hide his face. Standing there thinking to himself of all the things that happened up to this point yet again. It was a kick to the gut, why do they want him to be Spider-Man so bad it's not worth it and not worth his family being in risk of danger. Sticking his hands in his hoodie looking out to the sky blinking, then yawned to himself it was the best choice for him instead of forcing himself to be a hero.
Hearing something then turning to the side he looked at the person then whoever it was in red hoped on the water tower was certainly something expected and unexpected at the same time. A "Spider-Man", why can it be another Spider-Woman or at least a Spider-Girl. Scoffing and with his hand dropping to his pants leg. Miles could not believe it, he looking at this red spider man who in which asked him who Miles was. Turning with a smirk "Oh I'm a naïve teenager, trying not to join a club...they want me to change and be the person they want me to be." he said chuckling a little bit. "Don't worry I'll be getting off his rooftop and be on my way." he looked back seeing a ladder thinking to himself as he walked over to it wondering why his Spider-Sense didn't work. But he simply waved smiling "Later Spider-Man.." he said hopping and climbing down the ladder before sliding all the way down to the alley way.
His smile went away as he walked casually away from and out the alley wondering if this Spidey was following him. Cause a Spider-Man isn't supposed to be looking like that, blood red and black colors. Sure Miles costume was similar but hell he looks sinister like the people he faced, Scorpion and Omega Red. With his hands in his hoodie walking up the block minding his own business being careful and aware of his surroundings.

This kid had to be some kind of threat. But Scarlet merely rolled his eyes at the response that he got. He was hiding something. That was the gut feeling that Scarlet got and the fact that he called him Spider-Man made him even angrier! He was Scarlet Spider and not Spider-Man. "You think you're funny kid? I don't do funny." He said but before he could do anything else really the kid had suddenly disappeared from view. Having thought about it for a second, he quickly realized that the kid may have been the one that sent those guys running the other way. But the way he acted he didn't have that hero attitude which confused him. If he was like Spider-Man he would've worn the suit and everything.
...Well he wasn't spider-Man and he didn't act like a hero. That was the big difference between him and the other guy. He was often called a vigilante or even an anti hero to some. He had tried being a villain but that didn't work out.
Sighining he began to hop across the roofs of the buildings to see if he could catch up with Miles. And then he began to descend down to where he could see him. This guy was fast as far as he was concerned but he could keep him "You really think I'm Spider-Man kid? You are so wrong. The name's Scarlet Spider." He said. "And to make things even better I'm NOT a part of any rag tag team." He said crossing his arms wondering if Miles was even listening to him in the first place. This kid was odd. He had powers and used them but he didn't hide behind a mask. At least not from this angle.
"And just to show you that you're wrong." He said as he unsheathed his sharp and pointed claws that came out from his wrists. They were white almost like bone and had a sharp point to them. They were a couple of feet long from the looks of things and were valuable daggers that Scarlet Spider used in fights. Not to mention he sure scared a lot of people with those right in their face.

Miles was just walking and minding his own business, checking his phone for messages and he was getting hungry which was typical of him. Angry at the world sure can wake up a appetite, but of course The Scarlet Spider that he proclaims to be was following him and guessing he was ranting to him of being different than Spider-Man which of course was true since the costume and the attitude was completely different then the videos he had seen of him battling his greatest foes. Listening to every word that he said was heard.
He looked at the claws out of his wrist which was definitely not power he has, jeez does every Spider hero got one special ability or what. It's was like the Spider-Man Olympics, each one had something that made them different in some way. "Cool.. that's very different and sort of gross." he said looking at them with a glance "Let me guess Spider stingers right?" It seemed fairly obvious that he would name these unless he hates naming his powers cause he doe not look the fun type to Miles. Though Miles was getting a vibe from him, a killer vibe like he kills with no responsibility for his powers and who in the heck team was he talking about, hope it wasn't the X-men or Avengers or whatever they call themselves.
He took a deep breath and looked around to see if anyone was watching them, it would be weird for a teen to be talking to a costumed hero or villain in clear as day. "So uhhh...yeah, is there something you need or something else to say?"

"Yep spider stingers." Scarlet said as he saw the surprise from Miles as he finally figured it out. It seemed like every spider that he had encountered...well make that two now had their own type of powers. He was sure there were others that he hadn't encountered just yet. But he wasn't fond of meeting any of them. He knew like many he'd prefer to be left alone. But his true power that may have made him different than the others was the Mark of Kaine, he would like to see the day where someone else had it.
Scarlet was so used to the stingers by now he didn't even think twice about it, but he could understand why Miles thought they were gross. The healing factor usually took care of any blood that came from his wrists, unless it was destroyed or temporary shut off then they had a problem. The stingers were like long extensions of weapons that he could use at any time, but he had kept that promise that he had from Sue Storm a long time ago. He wouldn't kill. In fact, it had been a month or so since that had happened, he lost track of it. But if there was one person that deserved it it was those fools from Oscorp who turned him into Scarlet Spider without wanting it. Suppose he wanted Revenge, but he knew now was not the time and place for it.
"Anyways kid, Those guys that had a gun and were running in the opposite direction, where you were earlier. If you want I will make sure they will think twice about coming back here again." Scarlet said. "And I won't kill them. You've got my promise on that." He added knowing probably some of the others thought that Scarlet Spider was here for killing others. Especially with the recent footage of what was on the news. But here was a surprise, the whole thing had been a plot and turned out to be fake with Sue Storm so he could help work for her and hopefully turn his life around. Well...he was trying at least.
