Personality: Anansi has been described as many things in his time of being a super hero. He has been described as a trickster, often causing many to fall to his pranks when they can be somewhat destructive or going the other way and become harmless. But he has never gone to the ropes as to becoming so dangerous towards Loki's reign. Anansi has also been described as a young and just character. But he does have his flaws, he has tried to gain power for himself many times, and often times trying to get this power goes to his head and backfires. Anansi has come to respect the wildlife within Africa as his home and does his best to protect his people who can't protect themselves. As usual he goes by his uncle's Nebatsi's motto "With Great Power comes Great Responsibility." Anansi is curious about the cultures in the United States but it will take him a long time to understand everything, even the technology seems bizarre but he is willing to learn.
Appearance: Anansi is about six feet high and has a dark complexion. He has black hair and is very well built and athletic. Anansi for his costume wears a red mask draped in red and blue feathers. He has war paint on his arms and a spider painted on his chest. He wears clothing hides from his tribe around his waste. While he is in the United States he will learn to adapt to the culture there and will gradually wear the clothing that he has like baggy jeans, and a shirt, he will wear a red clothed mask over his face and a hat to add to it to try and hide his identity.

History:
Anansi was born to Nyembe the father of a local tribe in Africa. He was the cheif of the tribe and made sure he ruled with just and kindness no matter where he went or the tasks that he had to do. On many occasions, Nyembe came to teach Anansi who would in time become the future leader of his tribe. However, before this could be accomplished, when Anansi was about 13years old the tribe was overrun by an enemy tribe from a nearby village. Their warriors were greatly skilled and valiant as they ended up killing Nyembe and tried to take over the tribe. Asking for help, Anansi called out to their African gods for help and he managed to get it from an unlikely source. A spider god had heard his cry for help and gave him unimaginable power of a spider. Here he was able to take down several warriors with his bear hands, and the others were eventually convinced to run away before they could take over the village.
After the death of his father, he was buried and brought back to the earth, Anansi was still not old enough to inherit his father's throne as Nebatsi took over the throne until Anansi was able to claim it. In the mean time, Anansi was able to learn and use his powers for good. He was able to practice in his free time and continues his practices to become king.
Anansi eventually grew up and it wasn't long before he was 18 years old, ready to become king of the tribe that he had been brought up. But things went wrong the night before the ceremony as Anansi awoke finding large spiders crawling into his home. He had never seen these creatures before as he began to defend himself. He quickly was able to locate his aunt named Maya but was unable to find Nebatsi who had been busy late at night trying to put the ceremony together. Before Anansi could come over to rescue him the spiders were able to corner his uncle. And Anansi was over powered almost easily. At that unfortunate moment the spiders killed his uncle making Anansi incredibly mad and angry at them. He wanted nothing to do with his spider powers at this point in time since he related them to these awful beasts. One by one he killed the spiders on the spot before they eventually fled. But by then the damage had been done as his uncle passed away.
The coronation ceremony for Anansi was never held as another tribe member took over the chief as he was the best warrior in the village. Anansi couldn't come over the fact that he blamed himself for his father's and his uncle's death. So with that in mind, he fled in to the jungle where he stayed for several years and was eventually forgotten. Since this day Anansi has stayed in the jungle as he works alone but he does come out at times to help those who are most in need.
While having an encounter with the spider god one day, the spider god explained to Anansi that it was never his fault that Nebasti had been killed that night the day that he was supposed to come king. After understanding this, he realized that he too had inherited a god like stance towards the spiders but promised only to use his powers for good. After the spider god quickly left, Anansi felt some peace and returned to his African crime fighting to make sure his villagers remained safe. But he seemed never fully able to take the throne back for himself. The spider god has also been giving him tasks and at some point it may seem that he will be going to the United States, but even that place seems foreign and bizarre to him.
Super Powers:
Anansi was given powers by an unknown spider god (Who appeared to him as a half human and half spider creature later on) who granted him special abilities that he could mimic himself and act like a spider. These abilities have become great gifts that he has used several times and have become very handy for him. They seem to be more of a source of magic that has transformed him since there is no sign of venom or anything in his blood.
Healing Factor: Given the gift from the spider God of being able to use spider abilities, Anansi has a healing factor that has been able to heal just about any injury from bullet wounds, scrapes and cuts in a matter of seconds. These injuries will heal up as if there was nothing there in the first place. Anansi has also been gifted a longer life where he can easily surpass the normal age of a human and appear to still be in his prime. It is unknown how long he can live, but he can live well into the 100s and still look like he is in his peak condition since his age has slowed. However, even with his healing factor, Anansi will have a harder time healing tougher injuries such as a severed arm or leg where he may not be able to grow them back. It is also possible to kill Anansi if that comes.
Super Human Reflexes: Anansi's reflexes have been enhanced so greatly that he has been able to dodge on coming bullets, and his reaction time is far greater than most human.
Super Human Strength: Anansi has been known to lift at least 10 tons in his own strength since his muscles have been enhanced.
Super Human Durability: Anansi's skin has been enhanced to the point of where he can survive heavy impacts. These impacts include falling from a high point and surviving the crash, and he can also survive several concussive blasts from a super villain, and he has also been able to survive powerful punches given by other super villains. However, it is still possible to harm and hurt Anansi.
Wall Crawling: Anansi has been able to cling to walls or vertical objects with ease due to changing his molecular structure around his skin to a static charge. This charge can hold for a decent amount of time with a small amount of concentration. He has also been able to create incredible acrobatic feats with this in the jungle.
Organic Webbing: Anansi has developed organic webbing that he uses to trap foes or encase his enemies in. This webbing his a white gooey substance that is strong enough to hold a man up in place for several hours. This can be washed away by the rain in a few hours or gradually disintegrate after a few hours of use once Anansi is done using it.
Insect Empathy: Anansi has an ability to talk to insects, mostly he's done it towards spiders since he can communicate and understands them the most. But he can talk to other insects or even feel their emotions. Sometimes they can be silent witnesses to events if he needs to talk to them that way too.
Spidey Sense: Like most spider powered heroes, Anansi has a spidey sense that is able to detect whenever he senses danger or even threats to him that are unknown. Usually this gives him several seconds of time to react and he has learned to use this ability to help him avoiding getting into danger.
Weaknesses:
Technology: Although not a physical weakness, technology has always baffled Anansi on how it works and what it can do. He prefers to stay away from it since he's mostly lived out in the jungles away from human contact. But he is willing to learn how to use it. Even some things that humans have often taken for granted like phones he won't understand how to use it.
Family: Family has always been a complicated thing for Anansi. With the death of his father and Nebatsi, he has believed that he was responsible and felt guilty for it. But these have been a weakness and also a strength at the same time for him as he is figuring out what he wants to do with his life. He thinks that his father and uncle are watching over him to this day while he works.
The Spider God: Though Anansi is on the path to righteousness and just, with crime fighting and trying to help save the good people of Africa. There is always the looming chance that these spider powers can be taken away. If the Spider God doesn't feel that Anansi is worthy these powers will be taken away from Anansi once he has caused great trouble or turned to the dark side. Once these powers are gone, he will return and become a normal human once again.
Spidey Sense: If there are villains or threats that are able to avoid the Spidey sense, it may catch Anansi off guard before he can attack or predict on coming moves leaving him vulnerable to attack. This is similar to when the symbiote Venom has managed to avoid Spider-Man's spidey sense and attack him when he least expects it.
