A lot had happened these last few months after managing to settle down in New York City finally, Kaine had been picked up by the Web Warriors and asked him to join. He was reluctant about it, very reluctant on it. He sighed as he drove his motorcycle through the city was a bit easier for him than trying to get around by walking or web slinging. Kaine had managed to pick up a few tech items that would help him on his journey and one of them was the motorcycle and he learned how to use it pretty quickly. "I really hate them but I had no choice but to join. I'd probably be lost without a team." He grumbled underneath his breath.
It wasn't long before he reached the gates of the School for Gifted Beings, it was a nice looking school as he had to admit. Probably better than SHIELD at least. He took off his helmet and turned off his bike. After he put his helmet back on the bike he took out his phone texting out towards Katherine that he was at the front and waiting for her when she was ready to come out. "I'm out at the front, come when you're ready-Kaine." He typed it rather quickly as he held onto his phone before looking up at the stars.
He really wasn't sure what they were going to do this time around. The two could possibly go look around the city or head back to his apartment that he had owned. He'd prefer to sleep there than the rickety old shield hunk of metal, that was flying over head. "Just stay calm, Kaine there's nothing to be worried about." He said with a bit of worry in his voice. He closed his eyes for a bit as he felt his scar with his free hand. That was always a reminder there.
Not to mention, he hoped that there weren't any super villains out tonight, SHIELD would take care of him. Scarlet Spider had the night off. Of course no body told his spidey sense that, it would go off at any time, any place where he considered villains to be a threat.

Katherine was Brushing her hair her own hair to get ready for their date and she had her inducer on her human appearance. She actually had normal clothes on which consisted a very t-shirt and blue jeans. She didn't actually care what they did because just being with him was what made her very happy as she hummed happily.She was done with all her studies and even the art assignment that she actually worked weeks on which got an A she made it as a gift for Kaine it was a painting of them both.
She heard her phone buzz and quickly picked it and texted that she would be right down. She then rushed down the stairs to greet her boyfriend taking the painting with her.She wasn't at bit worried that might happen because well they are both heroes and would probably be able to handle what.She then cheerfully greets him holding out the painting " hello Kaine it's nice to see you I made this just for you do you like it " She was actually a very good artist she was actually very detailed with her work.

"Heay Katherine, you look very pretty." Kaine said as he gave Katherine a smile as he looked back at her. Packed of course in the compartment area of his motorcycle was his Scarlet Spider suit, he never went anywhere without it or he was wearing his suit underneath his clothing. "And wow I like the painting, I have zero artwork skills on me." Kaine said with a soft chuckle, as he looked back at Katherine he was very impressed at waht she had managed to draw. There was detail and everything in it from the way she drew which was quite impressive. Well I can pose for you as Scarlet Spider at some point, can't forget our super hero sides." He said.
"By the way, this may sound a bit strange coming from me...but I joined a team recently. I'm not really fond of it, all of the others are so odd and we all have spider powers." Kaine said, realizing that he wasn't the only one that had spider powers. But he knew it might actually help in not making him feel so lonely anymore. But regardless, the first meeting with them hadn't gone well as he nearly got into several arguments in Australia for awhile. "Were called the Web Warriors." He added. But that was when he remembered he had something for her in the compartment where his suit was. He opened it up as he took out a large basket of flowers, "I got these for you by the way, I heard that girls like roses." He said feeling a bit sheepish since he wasn't very good at picking out gifts, but hopefully the roses were a start. They were a nice dark red and a few white ones to add to it.

Katherine cheerfully took the roses and smiled and kind blushed little bit " Thanks ..Kaine " He actually made her really happy and getting to see him often as she could. When he told her about her being a on a team just smiled towards him " That great you found and let's hope that you actually do well then " She actually understood that not always she could see because they now both have their duties to tend too. She actually like the adventure of being a heroine and it was great to hear that Kaine was actually trying his best to do. She was happy that he loved her artwork and then offered to post for her as his hero persona which actually sounded pretty great to her actually " I might just take you up on that offer then "
She worked pretty hard for the x-men even though she had trouble socializing with them but she managed to work things out. She then remembered something they are suppose to be going out somewhere.She then smiled towards him not sure where to go at moment " so where are we going this time I enjoyed our last Date you know..." She actually hoped that a villain didn't ruined anything but that is live of being a hero and sometimes they will have to deal with such things.

"You're welcome, I thought you'd like them." Kaine said with a smile as he looked back at Katherine. She appeared to be really happy which was a good thing and he was also a bit happier than normal. Kaine was at least trying his best to put his past behind him and move on. The first trip with the web warriors had been a rocky one, but he knew it was only the beginning. "Yeah I am trying to at least make up for what happened in the past. I was on a bad team for a while but I think I am on the right track." He said with a soft nod as he also took something else which was a helmet. That was going to be needed for Katherine in case she wanted to ride on the motorcycle with him.
"That's good, a fight almost happened, because I couldn't stand that one guy at the front, but he quickly left." Kaine said with a smile that she enjoyed their time at the fair. "Well do you want to have some dinner and then go on the board walk? I heard that the scenery around there is pretty nice looking around this time of the year in the summer." Kaine offered and it may be a good opportunity for the both of them to get to know each other.

She just listened to what he was saying about what happened with teammates she was guessing in team fighting was normal since she has seen it many times.She had a lot places to choose where to go she wanted to have something to do with him and she was actually pretty hungry and going for a romantic walk on the boardwalk sounded quite nice actually then responds with a cheerful smile " that sounds great I am ready when you are " She was making sure that her inducer was covered so they didn't turn it off by mistake . She loved his company and would spend it with him even if it was just cheap place like the park or something.
She wanted to get to know him much better and it would a good time for them to talk about what's been happening and maybe about their families if they feel like it. She them looked towards him and waited for him to lead her to his bike or whatever he brought with them to get them to their destination.She wrapped her arms around his shoulders when he also go on.

"So has school been going well for you, Katherine? I hope it has at least on your end...you already heard my part." Kaine asked as he got up on the motorcycle and started it up. Despite it being a motorcycle, it wasn't all that loud, it did give off a low humming sound but it was supposed to be stealthy at the same time. Once he got it started he set off towards the city as they left this little bit of the forest out in New York behind. It wouldn't be long before they got back into the city life where people were and as well as his apartment. That also dawned on him.
"Heay Katherine, if we end up staying out late we can stay in my apartment...that is if you're comfortable with that idea. Hardly anyone bothers me except SHIELD." Kaine said knowing he didn't like the idea of having guests there all the time. Suppose it just worked with his loner side of things. It was a shabby little place but it was enough for the two of them to stay there without worry. And if needed his Spidey Sense would go off, and he certainly hoped it wouldn't. Since it went off at the worst of times.

She helded to his back close as she heard him speak to her about how was school and she responds " it's going being great my favorite class are with Mr. Logan "She exclaims happily the guy was her favorite teacher he sends them on a lot outside classes.She loved as being close to him as possible so when he offered her to stay overnight night at his apartment it made feel a bit of tingle in her body. She loved the thought of staying with him " of course that will be great " She wouldn't care what his apartment looked like too because she wasn't that type of person that would.
She too was kind loner since she spent most of her free time just relaxing in the courtyard of the school grounds it was her happy place where people didn't bother her all that much. She was right now just enjoying the wind going through her hair when they arrived on the boardwalk she go off the back of the motorcycle.She wasn't watching where she was going and suddenly knocked into this man with jacket with what looked a eagle and the form with the letters FOH.She suddenly looked scared because she had heard about these people although she was in her civilian appearance her watch started to malfunction which made it turn off "oh my Gosh sir I am sorry I sorry!!!"The man grunted as he turned and had a very nasty scowl on his face he grabbed her wrist before she could he seem not be happy with being bump into " Sorry....are you..Freak about to be " Katherine tried to break from his grasp he was taking out this needle full of some kind of dangerous liquid. Katherine catlike appearance was causing panic as civilians run from the scene

"Heay let her go, she's my girlfriend!" Kaine said realizing that Katherine was in trouble. The problem was of course that he had no way of changing into his Scarlet Spider suit and using his powers out here. But once he did jump off the bike after stopping it he realized that she was indeed in trouble. His spidey sense went off which was making things even worse for him as he knew this really was dangerous.
After coming over to katherine he saw the needle that he had and was about to inject her in something. "If you want to get through to Katherine you have to deal with me first." he said trying to act tough like he had always done as Scarlet Spider. But this was different. He was a civilian and it seemed like a big blow. Finally after a bit he tried throwing a punch at the guys arm to make him release Katherine, but some how out of instinct his stingers came out as he realized things might go bad here. 'This isn't good." He said but he realized it was too late now, his powers had been exposed, and so had Katherine's. Tonight had pretty much just wound up as a inghtmare. And like that he used his stingers to slash at the needle hoping they'd be strong enough to break glass, and he hoped they would. Otherwise he didn't have much of a choice on what to use there. Maybe, just maybe joining SHIELD had been a helpful situation here, and he was begining to realize that. But after this, he thought it would be better to stay at his apartment and skip the board walk if Katherine wasn't up for it. At least, in the apartment they'd be alone together. "Are you a deaf old man? I said let her go!" He said wondering if he was listening at all.

He was indeed ignoring Kaine because he was trying to get rid what he though was the scrum of the earth. He said something that he really shouldn't be saying something that sounded kind of racist but it was really hard to understand what he just said but it somewhere of this sentence " so demon are you here to corrupt more minds and take more people away you stole the soul of my daughter "Katherine looked towards him fearfully.She was helpless as hung there because she stared down.
When the man was punched in the arm as he attempted to pierce her with the needle. That was what interrupted him. He then turned towards Kaine and looked disgusted " this thing .....is your girlfriend !!...you ...will..." he distracted as the syringe was broken by Kaine's stringers the plastic shattered as he turned towards the man and glared as he held Katharine off her feet one handed.He didn't really notice the stringers let " you best this boy or you will end the same fate as this monster !!"

"She is my girlfriend, she is the nicest, most caring person I know and you better let her go!" Kaine said as he knew it was gnawing at him from inside and out that he couldn't suddenly change into his Scarlet Spider suit since he was pretty much helpless as Kaine Riley he had to think of a way to distract the guy but also react quickly. "You know one thing, I hate bullies that's exactly what you are and I know someone who will stop you in your place so don't even try it!" HE said as he picked up several pieces of asphalt that had been worn away from time as he threw them at the npc to try and distract him. With one quick swoop Kaine ducked into an alley way. "I don't have much time." He said to himself knowing the guy was probably distracted with Katherine and he hated that he had to leave so suddenly like this but he knew as Scarlet Spider he wasn't going to have to worry about hiding his powers.
Once he donned his red suit he was back and ready as he climbed one of the nearby walls. He put the red mask over his face as the red and black eyes were there on the mask. "Ok, I'll say it again. Let my girlfriend go!" He called out as he sent a red and white webbing towards the guys face, and the rest was around Katherine's waste as he began to pull her out of the man's grip as his strength was quite powerful. "The name is Scarlet Spider, and I'm not a demon. Science is behind my creation whether or not I wanted it." He said looking back at the man as he pulled with all of his might. And he hoped he'd be able to get her free from this freak.

The man was pretty mad he could have killed Katherine right there he as he was hit with asphalt it caused him to drop her to ground. He was looked around quickly for where Kaine just went he wanted to really hurt someone.Katherine trying to Scramble away from the area and suddenly he grabbed her by the foot again " oh no you don't ....you ..."He suddenly looked up suddenly sees scarlet spider yelling at him to let her go he was just about to say something else really nasty until he was blinded and silenced by a red sticky webbing to the face. He suddenly let Katherine go as she was pulled by away by Kaine and he tried to claw away the webbing from his as he stumbled backwards to ground.
Katherine suddenly hid her face into Kaine's shoulder and hugged herself against him. She was actually scared at moment as she clung to him.She was kind of shaking little bit she was kind of embarrassed herself that someone had to save but since it was someone she loved she felt really safe in his arms.She could have just claw the unknown man's eyes but the guy would have proberly over power since he was three times her size.The thing was the man was her father who she was afriad of and not only that was part of the most dangerious ant-mutant group in town.

"If there's one thing that I hate in this city is the bullies, and that is what you are punk, you will always be that. If you learned to change even a little it might make you a better person, but I doubt that's going to happen. Not everyone's keen on changing." Scarlet Said as he looked back at the man as he struggled to get out of the red webbing. It would keep him busy probably for a few hours, but as Kaine Riley, he simply wasn't able to do anything. He felt bad that he had to leave Katherine so suddenly like that, as well but it was clear that it had been something he had to do, to change into Scarlet Spider. If Katherine wasn't there, Kaine would've had the idea of killing him cross his mind, but he wasn't going to scoop down to Oscorp's level again, never.
"Are you alright, Katherine? I'm sorry I had to leave so suddenly like that, but I came back as soon as I could...How about we go to my apartment. It's safe there, and it's only a block or two away?" He asked knowing Katherine was probably shaken. But just to make sure that the guy was really stuck there, he sent down some more webbing around his feet hoping to keep him grounded. "If not I can return you back to the X Institute, that will just take a bit longer." He said knowing it'd tire him out but he just wanted to make sure that Katherine was in good hands. It was up to her on where she wanted to go. And behind his red mask he made sure that the guy stayed put, and didn't try anything funny.

The guy was going trap there for quite awhile and someone already had called the police because of the panic just happened between the three .The girl heart was still pounding as held her head against his chest as she held on to him as they got out there.She then listened to him as he asked if she was alright and he said he was sorry that he had to leave her like that.She looked stared him a few moments before answering him she was kind of embarrassed in fact but she didn't want to tell him that.She would tell him if he asked about the jacket the guy was wear if he didn't care she responded to his question " Yes 'I'm fine ,.......it's....ok Scarlet..... "She sighed little she was worried that he didn't want to be with her anymore.
she went silent for awhile before he asked if she wanted to go to his apartment and kind of bit her lip little bit. The stuff that just happened right there was already some panic if she was go out anywhere expect somewhere where people can't see them their would be more trouble.She then finally answered him" let's go to you apartment for awhile Kaine it would be for the best as lets not let ...the man ruin our night " She tried her best to smile to reassure him that everything was going be alright and they fix this.

"Alright we'll go to my apartment the police should be able to take care of this punk here." Scarlet said as he looked back giving the man a glare before giving his focus back on Katherine for a bit. He no longer had to worry about this guy he'd be locked up behind bars with cops questioning him. "It shouldn't take us long for us to get there." He said knowing the both of them could use some rest. He began to move forward through the air as he he hung onto Katherine. After getting through the city buildings, he climbed down one of the fire cases as one of the windows was open just ever so slightly as he pushed it with his hands. It was one of the many ways that he got into the apartment.
"I know it's not much and probably a bit odd that we went through the window but it's better than going through the front door were we might run into someone in the hallway." Scarlet spider said as he opened the window wide enough so they could both climb in. He turned on the lights showing at least a small three room apartment that Kaine had settled down in as it had a kitchen, a living room and one bed room that they could share. Once Kaine climbed in he took off his mask seeing that he didn't need to hide his identity here. They were safe at least for now. "Home sweet home I guess. I know it's not much but I've often come here to get away from SHIELD." He said taking off his suit as he had a t-shirt underneath showing plenty of scars on his back from the mistreatment that he got at Oscorp.
